  1. I have heard this complaint from others. The sign was messed up in Humberto LAST YEAR and was not fixed. Maybe there will be enough hurricane money to fix it THIS year!
  2. now don't forget there is a huge diff. between being successfull in 2A and 4A What is the difference? success is success is success, wherever it is. And, might I add....success in one place does not mean success in another place. I don't have a dog in this fight, but I am interested in football and I don't agree with your statement.
  3. You had mentioned the last storm that you were right across the interstate from us. You must have meant from our new house!!! I kept trying to figure which subdivision you would live in right across the interstate from us in Little Cypress!!!! lol Yeah, T told me about your place across the Hwy a couple of years ago. I assumed you guys were in there by now. Are ya'll staying? We are still debating. Prepared to stay but my kids are wearing me out, so I don't know yet. We boarded up the new house because sheetrock just got delivered and I have 9 french doors (I don't even LIKE the French, so why did I get that many french doors? LOL) Had to put boards in front of all of them because of all the glass. We just replaced four windows after Rita on the back of the house we are in now and did NOT want to go through that again so we boarded them up! We may go stay at my sister's on north 62 if we stay. If not, we'll go to Marksville, LA.
  4. Well, ours is dried in, but they just delivered the sheetrock and there are no doorknobs. We have NINE doors (french doors). What was I thinking?!!!!???? We had to board it up today. It took ALL DAY!!!!!

  6. LOL....just goes to show you that I don't read well sometimes!!!!
  7. I was thinking it was 36-0. Not that the 3 points matters a whole lot....hee hee!!!
  8. K'ville had some big kids. I was impressed with #7. He went after it. He also took a lickin' and kept on tickin'. Was not afraid to get up in there. WOS JV looks awesome!!!! Congrats!!!
  9. We could always move the GAME up north and give us something to do when we evacuate. Just load those yella dogs up and reserve us a stadium somewhere! (It may very well need to be on Saturday then!!! LOL)
  10. THAT'S when you know you're in trouble. When Jim shows up with TWC in your area....look out!!!!
  11. I'd like to add a bit of trivia, '87. Newton has never scored a POINT against WOS. Isn't that strange? Well i'll be darned. Hip Hip HORRAY for you. Lets throw a party? What do ya say? Know what, Kcheer? I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.
  12. Sorry, bearfan, I guess I missed that. Surely it was a tongue-in-cheek remark, but who knows? I don't think the LCM community has been blamed at all for Moody's decision to cancel the game. As a matter of fact, we were under the impression that it was BECAUSE of the LCM community that the game ended up being played. However, there are other threads where LCM fans are upset with their athletic leadership in football. Good luck to the Bears this year.

  14. Leave it up to a west orange-stark'er not to get it. HAHA. ???. Trust me, dear. I'm way ahead of you!!!
  15. I don't see what good it does in moving them at all (except for the JV games scheduled for tomorrow). If we get the word to evacuate at ALL....all games are cancelled one way or the other, so it's really a moot point on whether they get moved up or back. If the 'cane hits us, it'll be time for district before we start back playing. If it doesn't, then we have an open week that we can fill....what week is K'ville open? Maybe we can reschedule the game!!!!
  16. Now, but not last year! They were 4A! And a good one. ooopppsss!!! Sorry! I thought they were talking about a game already played THIS year! I'll stay out of it!!!! LOL...
  17. Hey Dirk! Not to burst your bubble, but isn't B'wood 3A this year?
  18. i know of about 10 or 15 kids that have played football all there life that REFUSE to play football for moody. i think there is potential for a better team, but they just dont want to play for him. im not sayin that there is enough talent to go to playoffs everyyear or anything, but they could be a better team then what they are. They don't have the dedication anyway then. It's not about "dedication" to the game. A coach can ruin someones love for the game, and if you don't realize that your blind. People that say "well if their kids really liked football they would play under moody winning season or not" But it's not about the game, it's not about losing, it's not about having a lack for love of the game, it's about the coach. When a coach picks his favorites, his "best" and treats them like they are superstars and then treats the rest of the kids like they're brainless mutants that deserve less even though they work just as hard, or in most cases harder than the favorites, it will ALWAYS lead to losing players and a very unsuccessful program. So for the dedication not being there, you really don't know. Why play the game, why risk injuries, for this kind of "playing" when you can play or do something better for yourself in another sport or in academics and actually get rewarded for what you do on some front or another. With Moody there, the only ones rewarded will be his super stars, not the average run of the mill player that will bust his hump to be his best. If all this is true, as well as other posts similar to this one, then there are some difficult times at the Bear's den. I hope ya'll are able to work things out. I hate to see kids miss out, especially for this reason. Football is so much more than wins and losses. They are life lessons and it looks like the lessons that the Bears are getting are not positive!!!!
  19. bear fan: I, too, as well as other Mustang fans on here wish Ethan a speedy recovery. I haven't seen any Mustang fans on here berating the Bears. I believe all of us saw that they played hard and never gave up. We all know they are young and take that into consideration. On the other hand, Ray Charles could see that the game last night was very poorly officiated. That is not cutting the Bears down, that is merely stating a fact. There was a BLATANT, FLAGRANT facemask viewable to the Mustang crowd where our running back's face was completely turned to the side and a ref stood right there and never threw a flag. Two plays later, three Bears had our rb almost already on the ground and they threw a flag. We don't want ANYONE hurt, and especially from poor officiating. If they don't control the game from flagrancy, then there are going to be injuries!!!
  20. That last picture looks to me like it hit us head on and that is the aftermath!!!!
  21. No offense, once again, but WOS doesn't underestimate anybody, especially K'ville!
