  1. You can count LamarJunior and myself on the roll call for those voting for a return of football. The 29th is the first day but remember they are voting the 30th too. I'm pretty sure the SGA is holding the vote in the Setzer Center.
  2. If they lose, I'm locking the door and abtr will not be allowed over. I think he'll go nuts if they lose to a NAIA school. Anything under 5 pounds will possibly be thrown. I might need to make this game so my aunt and cousins get home safely. Abtr, will not be a happy camper if they lose again. He takes these games too serious. Lighten up rim. The world isn't coming to an end if Lamar loses tomorrow. ;D
  3. Noon, during the week. Dang, I know guys that don't schedule a class before 12:00.
  4. Abtr can find just about anything on the internet but he just can't do much else. He'd go nuts if we un-plugged his computer. He wouldn't know what to do.
  5. It's still early in the season. UTA and SHSU look to be legit though.
  6. The administration can just relax the students will pass the referendum! Out of every 5 people around campus I talk with 4 support the return of football.
  7. Great news for the Lamar former All-American. I don't keep up with golf much but I talked to someone who told me he made over $600,000 last year so I thought he was for sure going to be on the PGA tour next year too. Thanks for clearing this up and congratulations to Mr. Stroud.
  8. I best not be late for dinner if abtr is coming over or there won't be any food left! I've gotta make one of these games soon so he'll would quit riding me. I think the ladies will have a better season than the men from what I've heard and read. JMO.
  9. The staff signed 1 HS dude and 2 jc transfers. I suppose they will announce the signings soon. I heard the Ladies signed one player and I was told she is very good. 6-1 PG.
  10. Man, that video makes me excited about my future here at Lamar. I can't believe they killed the program. It doesn't look like a bad crowd and everyone was really into the game. Plus, didn't McNeese just win the conference this year with a 11-0 record or something close. I heard they have been good for years. I bet there were a lot of upset people when they voted to kill the program after the Cardinals played like that.

  12. No problem KFDM, sorry I don't have more time to help abtr built this site. You know family is family and I don't like some of the things I see on different sites. A lot of copying others stuff and the people yelling are the very one's doing it in the first place. I'll help out anyway I can when I'm not working. Come see me at Best Buy if you need new electronics!

  14. Yes, I'm from Aledo and my dad wanted me to go to UT. However, I chose Lamar for several reasons. 1. My brother is 3 credits short of being a junior at Lamar and we wanted to get a place together. 2. I'm able to pay tuition, fees, books, food, buy a new 40 inch plasma TV, new computer and new furniture for our apartment for less than I would have paid going to UT. We have the best bacholar pad in Beaumont. 8)

  17. Agnija Reke LamarCardinals.com had to move at a fast pace to snag an interview with "cat quick" Agnija Reke, but we slowed down the hard working perimeter player long enough to get to know the Riga, Latvia native a little bit better. Agnija comes to Lamar from Odessa Junior College where she played point guard and led the Lady Wranglers to the Juco National Title. Reke is a proven winner and brings that attitude to the court every day for the Lady Cardinals! LC: When you walked off the court with a National Junior College championship in your hand, what feelings came to mind? AR: Impossible is nothing! Hard work pays off with great success. LC: Word on campus is that you are the hardest working player on the team, so what drives you to have that distinction? AR: The will to get this job done. Everybody knows that success in the games starts from hard work in practice. LC: Being a native of Latvia, what things do you miss the most from your country? AR: Definitely my family. My family has been supportive all my life. I try not to think about home very often. My home is here and the people around me are my family. LC: Also tabbed as another highly regarded recruit in the #31 rated nationally ranked class, why Lamar? AR: I didn't pick the school. I picked the coach I want to play for. I knew it was going to work out perfect and the fact that we are #31 in recruiting classes is the first sign of success. LC: If you could go anywhere in the world for a vacation, where would you go and why? AR: I've always wanted to go to Africa. I want to see how people live there. LC: What are your plans after you graduate? AR: My dream is to play professional basketball and to get PAYED! Most likely I will go back to Europe and play there. But you have to know where life's going to take you. LC: Who is the best player that you have ever played against? AR: Nobody famous yet, probably girls from the Latvian national team. LC: What are your first impressions of Lady Cardinal Basketball and what are your expectations of this team? AR: Coach did a great job not only recruiting great players but great people. I am happy that I am part of the Lady Cardinals basketball team. LC: What is your most prized possession? AR: My necklace with a humming bird. My basketball coach gave it to me after I finished playing for my team "Humming bird". LC: In your opinion, besides yourself, who is the most motivated player on your Lady Cardinal team? AR: I can't name just one player. I think all players give their best effort every practice. Some push harder than others, but everyone reaches for the same result-to get better every day.

  19. I don't know, my dad said the only ones that count are the times the Longhorns played the Cardinals in Austin.
  20. Abtr, I know you love these trivia questions but can you have some of them which occurred after I was born? Unless you have a media guide or you are over fifty there is no way to know the answers.
  21. "Keep it in the Circus." No, I'm only kidding but I'm 5'7 and I've stood next to her and she is every bit of 6'2. Very attractive too!
  22. Still haven't made a game but I've heard from several people Kenny Dawkins is a stud. I think he is the least of the worries for the basketball team. Personally, I'm a baseball guy and will definitely catch a few of them. It isn't long now until we can start talking a lot about baseball. Who is the Lamar baseball expert on this forum?
  23. This is a basketball thread isn't it? Don't worry about LamarJunior mffl, I'll beat him up for you. Come is us at the apartment at the Village. PM me and I'll give you our number and address. Now enough with the love connection and back to sports. I honestly haven't made a game this season. I know it's terrible for a student to admit and I'm not painting myself red and white for the next game if LU wins tonight. However, I'll be at the game Monday for sure. These guy's will be legit if they pull this upset.
  24. My dad is loving this as he is UT everything. My brother and I could not afford to go to UT so my dad's next option was spending us to TSU in San Marcos but abtr won the recruiting battle.
