Tough test tonight versus a SEC team with over 20 wins last season. I'm a baseball guy but meeting some of the basketball players and seeing how cool they are I'll go with my heart and not my head on this one and say LU wins a close one. Go Cards!

Hope Shyler can overcome the ACL injury in time for next season. I saw some video of him playing football. He is a tough guy who is a great athlete.

We don't only have the best team in the SLC but we have the best looking team from the coaching staff to the team manager. I can't wait to see how good they will be in 2-3 years when I'm a senior. Awesome baby!

If abtr says he'll do everything in his power, I believe him. My uncle recruited my brother, myself, my girlfriend and several others to attend Lamar. We love our choice and it would only get better with a football team to cheer for in the fall.

I heard Skyler Williams of Chipola Junior College committed to Lamar.

We'll all be there (me, LJ, The_Professor) and a few of our friends. LJ's girlfriend is taking a official visit this Friday and perhaps she'll be back for the party. I know abtr and GiGi will be in the Red Room with other members of the Cardinal Club.

Since Lamar raised the bar to admissions, I see this continuing.

On the upper concourse level there will be renovations done. * Hightlight Former Players and Coaches * Redo of the trophy case * A large 3D Cardinal Head * History on the walls. I also heard they are think of having tailgating before every Saturday game. * no charge for the food; but donations will be accepted.

We just make it back from FW. So, we didn't see the scrimmage but I really like this team and they'll be fun to watch. Glad our tickets are free. 8)

I could not find the answer on the web so I asked someone with a lot of years watching Lamar Basketball. He told me Mike Olliver was 15th on the career scoring list upon finishing his playing days at Lamar. With all the players to ever play DI basketball finishing ranked 15th is amazing. I wonder where he is ranked today?

What is this the third from this school? Hall, Worrell and now Brandon Moton. If he was the 36th best in the state of Texas as a senior he has to be pretty good. Anyone ever seen this guy play?

Well I played baseball at Aledo HS west of Fort Worth with one of the guys on the team this year. He played at Temple Junior College last year. He is about 6-5 and can run. He plays in the OF. First name is Chase but I'm not sure I want to place his full name on the message board without talking to him. I have no idea when Coach is going to release the names of this recruiting class. Another reason I don't want to place his full name on here. Lamar has a better team than I thought before I came to the university. They really have some talent here.

Man, that is a lot of work between now and Friday abtr. But if anyone can pull it off I'm sure you can. I'm a freshman at Lamar and I still haven't met anyone with more knowledge of Lamar athletics than you. Of course, I'm bias as you're my uncle. I'm sure there is a few people around Beaumont that knows more! ;D
