You have fallen prey to the typical media mentality, the team you like gets "throttled" (your words) by Crosby, but you still rank them higher because that is how you believe it should be, not what the evidence shows.  Of course if Dayton was 0-10 you would still have them #1 in you power rankings.  I know, for a brief week or 2 you had Crosby ahead of Dayton.  Like the Zin Master said, "we will see". 

Why is this thread still alive?

TT really rubs me the wrong way, but I want him to know that I send my prayers and condolences to him and his family.

There used to be an arrogant UNO fan that would post on the Sun Belt message board about 12-15 years ago back when Lamar was in the that conference.  He was as bad as TT is today.  I bet he is on 24 hour watch with this announcement.

Stanford may be the best argument yet as to why College Football (yes TT, I'm talking about BCS division, not FCS) needs a playoff system.  They stumbled early but now are hitting on all cylinders and could be one of the very best teams right now after handlily beating both Oregon and UCS.  But we will never know without a playoff system thanks to the selfish and greedy BCS and Bowl Committees who only look to feather their own pockets by convincing us they have the fans and schools best interest at heart.  They are in the same class as fight promoters and pimps, if they are even that good.

Gilmer might would finish in the top 8 in class 4A this year, probably top 4 of both divisions.

The Districts appear very even at this [b]juncture of the season[/b].  Both the top two teams win from each and both 1 TD.  Both 2nd place teams win by 2 Td's.  Seems pretty even to me.  Not sure what would happen with teams 5-8 head to head, but my gut tells me that 20-4A probably has a slight edge.

We will just have to see but this could be the beginning of the end of an era.

What in the world is John Curtis and Evangel doing in 2A.  They are probably the 2 best teams in the state.

I'm no Kirbyville fan but it just isn't right for them to be ranked behind Newton.  They beat them heads up, although there are still some Newton fans who would dispute that Kirbyville won the game LOL!

Good teams and great teams always get breaks and make breaks.  If I was a PNG fan, I would hope this is the closest call in a game for the next 4 or games.

If Crosby shows up like they did against Dayton, they take this game by several TD's.  If not it will be close but I think Merka will be the difference and they win.

Hey we might have as many fans at the scrimmage as "Texas Terror State" had at the game week before last.

This maybe a very interesting 4A playoff year.  It could be several teams that are not on the radar make some big noise.  Not sure the pundits have a bead on who the best teams are, or, this is just a strange year where the parity is at an all time high.

Lumberton's going to have to solve the turnover & running game problem that plagued them all year.  These stats are indicative of the whole season except the PNG game.  We generally led or were equal in the positive stats but always led in the negative stats (turnovers & penalties).  The rushing game lacked this year after having 1,500+ rushers the last 2 years.  Hopefully the Raiders will have a very productive offseason and find the answers to the running game and turnovers. :-\
