I think baseball needs to change the way they do the playoffs.  Stop the coin flips where 1 team can win the flip and play 1 game, and another team can win it and choose a best of 3. Everyone should be required to play the same format.  I personally think best of 3 is the way to go.

If we are talking about Big Sandy lets remember these stats from this year in the Homerun discussion...  They've hit  2 against Nederland, 2 against HJ, 1 vs. BC, and 1 vs. Blanco.  Now for me I feel that these are some of the top schools in our area with some much better than average pitching.  Just my two cents.

Very little correlation to the level of baseball and number of homeruns. If that were the case then the leader in NCAA homeruns each year would play division III baseball.

I want to take time out to thank everyone in the area who supported us this year I received many text and phone calls from posters on this website.  I want to thank Todd for all the updates on the game.  I want to thank everyone in general for the support for our baseball programs it does not  go unnoticed.

14-1, Rebels win.  A big thanks to Coach Williams & Luna for letting Daniel Bean play all 9 positions in his last district game.  6'04" behind the plate looked funny.  Daniel is the lone senior on the Rebel squad.

Senior night in Rebel-land.  Daniel Bean is the lone senior and just happens to be my middle son.  Time flies, and it seems like yesterday we were headed to our first OYBS practice.  From the first all-star trip with Jack Dallas, KJ Miller, Blade Broussard, Tre Bernard and the rest of the team that ended up 8th in the state - at 5 years old it has been a great journey.  This has been a blessing as he has been privileged to play with so many great players:

We love you son and hope you have a great night, and a deep playoff run.  It has been a blessing to watch you play the game and develop into a leader and a great young man.
