Everybody from Vidor knows PAM has a good team. PNG was the better team that night. Believe what you want to believe  but Vidor is capable.

The ball distribution was not very good in the second half. Ball distribution is key in this offense , since we run the ball 98 % of the time.  Like I said before Vidor needs to get a few stops and a turnover or two without turning over the Ball themselves to win. Can't keep running the same back every play. Gotta mix it up.

Want be no excuses here. PAM is definitely the favorite. But Vidor is capable. You didn't hear any excuses from me with the PNG game. I will say some of PAM posters could learn some lessons on how to handle winning from WOS. Act like you been there before.

Not wise to use common opponents to predict a win. 
For example: everyone destroyed GCM last year, yet our D.C. Nederland couldn't beat them.
Vidor gave Nederland a run for their money last year, only losing by 6 points in a game they could have won. Lumberton goes on to beat Vidor fairly easily. So by this scenario we should have beat Nederland right? Nope, we got smacked around 51-21.
My point is, different teams match up better against other teams. Y'all have speed, that matched up very well against PNG offense. Vidor is a whole other animal, and a very scary offense especially with the three headed monster they have running it. So I wouldn't be so confident.

I love your logic. team a beat team b and team b beat team c so team a is gonna beat team c. ever heard of a thing called match ups? you'll see next week when Nederland beats y'all even though we beat them.

While I do agree that PAM was the small 6A school I'm not really on that bandwagon...UNTIL the PAM fans bring that "its personal" blah blah BS and act like they own the freaking district after they had a bad track record in the last one. If half these PA fans would and say "great game" and respect teams that have been in this district together for years then you wouldn't  hear the 6A talk. But when your newcomers and you want to bust open the door instead of knocking then you'll get a fight out someone. I also understand not all PA fans are like that but it seems the ones that are make the most noise 

It's ok Bulldogpower, they couldn't do jack squat in 6a so they drop down to 5a with 700 more kids than anybody else in the district an think there doing something. They'll go 2 or 3 deep in the playoffs an then get thumped!!

As stated above, I'm a big Tim Hagler admirer, but as I remember, Tim ran out of the "I" formation and got most of the carries.  In the Slot T, the ball is spread around more.  Even adds to how impressive the record breaking performance is.
Rob, wish you could get his average per carry.  Think that would be an eye opener.
Did find it for the year, 9.74.  Wouldn't doubt his career avg would be a hair better.

I've been watching this kid since junior high and just wanted to do a little shout out to the greatest rusher in Pirate history, Haylon Leckelt. Haylon's been a four year starter with the Pirates, playing both running back and an occasional spot on the defense. Quoting the Vidor Vidorian:
"On the following play Haylon Leckelt got the call and gained 16 yards and a spot in the record book as he became the Pirates' all time rusher with 4494 career rushing yards, 14 over the previous record of 4478 yards held by Tim Hagler since 1982. We have been known not to make a pass the whole game. Matter of fact we've played 2 or 3 games in row an not attempted a pass. Lol! Like I've said before we run to setup the run.

See that's the thing man. All we ever do is try to celebrate vidor's success but all you ever do is come in with phrases like 1st play off win in 50 years blah blah blah. Look I know our playoff success pales in comparison to your but do you always have to come rain on our parade to make yourself feel better??

That gimmick offense abused y'all a few years ago and went 3 deep in the playoffs. Y'all knew what was coming an still couldn't stop it. Even with 11 in the box. It's just a smash mouth offense. Just saying.

Agreed, Vidor not being able to keep their on side kick before half and not being ready for the PNG onside kick after the half was a big momentum change. And for what ever reason the ball distribution in the 2nd half was not very good. PNG was the better team that night. That's the way it goes sometimes. Hope to see both teams make deep playoff runs.
