  1. Why would I back your claim?  ;D  Furthermore, if I were to make a claim I would say Silsbee by 7, so slow your roll.  I only defended granny's prediction because you called it stupid and saw it inconcievable.  Her stupidity may be forgivable, but I couldn't say the same for your ignorance.  Therefore, I disproved your opinion that it couldn't or hasn't happened.  Next time, I advise you to back your own insults with civilized debate instead of hasty ultimatums as a show of over-confidence.

  2. What are yalls predictions for HJ @ SILSBEE???

    I say.... Silsbee 86 HJ 53

Granny please let's be realistic.  This would only happen if HJ was without a significant player or two.  The team that Silsbee has and the team that HJ has it will be a good game.  I would be willing to bet that if HJ and Silsbee win out and that Coop's line will be Silsbee -10.  That is respectable however to say that Silsbee will win by 33 is just plain stupid!!!! :D :D :D

Not really Zeek.  That's completely within the bounds of reasonable probability.  Silsbee was up by as much as 20 AT HJ, no?  This game is to be played IN Silsbee.  If Silsbee keeps pressure and finishes the game strong they could very well best them by 30...heck, I would even say 33.  I'm sure you, in all your experience, have seen Silsbee/HJ games with comparable talent exceed large margins with key players on the court.

  3. I won't say who the mother was. But what I want to know is for the last two years when Silsbee play in the HJ gym why is their hj fans on the visitor side knowing there eventually something is going to happen. Their always brawl between these two teams nearly every game. Why keep doing this? That is stupid!!!

Actually they could have stopped letting people in a long time before they did, but there would have been a lot of silsbee fans left outside. In fact they did stop it for a while and then let another small group in becuase they were claiming to be city council and such, I heard tere was almost an issue outside becuase they wouldnt let anyone else in. Everyone knew the game was going to sell out and they would lock the doors Lazeek even tried to let everyone know ahead of time, but for some reason they waited until 7:00 to show up anyway. I thought they did good trying to get as many people in as they could so both sides could enjoy the game...

There was no issue outside to speak of sir. There were people outside waiting to get in from both sides of the court.  As people came out, they went in.  I will say that the group waiting was extremely entertaining.  Well worth the wait if you ask me.    ;)

  4. I thought it was funny that they emphasized the girls' "learning disabilities."  They spoke and acted just fine on all the morning shows as well as ESPN!!!  What's a shame is that your coach allows you to throw a varsity jersey on your shoulders and you can't even make a lay-up or dribble the ball.  The administration should take the blame for allowing them to compete in a competitive league.  This story is a joke, the coach of Dallas Academy is a joke, and the administration taking their dirty laundry to the press before consulting their coach is a joke.  They only filled a few reporters' voids for the next big story.

  5. Silsbee is up right now, which means one thing.  They will come down.  They aren't playing close games.  It hurts to say that they may not be able to compete with HJ when its neck and neck.  HJ pulls the "upset" that Lazeek and others have created by downplaying an efficient 27-4 team.

    NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Silsbee 78-70 in regulation, and as usual fighting will commence as both parties exit the court.

  6. What's the point in this? I am not sure the fashion in which this was won, press for 4 quarters or what, but busting the century mark on somebody who didn't even make 50 is pointless. I say don't pass up layups, but if any second half points were made outside of 10 feet then this is just pure and simple poor sportsmanship.

That's a Varsity game brother.  In addition, you don't want ANY of your players to get in the habit of holding back.  You play the whole game, 110%, and you go home.  If they don't like it, then they will do something about it.  The other team has no liability for your tears other than mopping them off the floor with you.  :o

  7. That is an ignorant fix for no problem at all.  When players go pro early it keeps an even flow of talent through your program.  I don't see why they owe anything to the school.  They worked hard to get there, they work hard to stay there, and they go to class at the same time.  Plus, when players leave for higher aspirations that only sheds light back on their past programs....which is great for recruiting and selling jerseys.  As for the kids that go and can't keep the grades, have you ever heard of kicking a man while he's down.  That would put them in debt without a degree, not very nice at all.

  8. Random Announcer: "Big gain for about 24, man has the off-season really paid off for this guy!"

John Madden: "You see Tim, he carried the ball on the football field...football is spelled with two o's just like cookie."

Random Announcer: "Thanks for the insight John."

John Madden: "That's what 30 years in football will get you..."

    Random Announcer: "Insight?"

    John Madden: "No, cookies..."

LT on Waterboy: "Which brings me to my second point, kids. Don't smoke crack!"
