It’s day 1, half the WOS fans haven’t even seen it yet AND you’ve got some haters of all of south east Texas on here to go along with the haters hating on WOS. Yea they don’t look as good as the WOS opponents on paper as gilmer or jasper or Carthage that statement was ridiculous. Take it from one of west oranges opponents. However , if y’all think west orange Stark’s lack of strength in their district schedule somehow means they aren’t a threat in the playoffs to every region of Texas you’re out of your mind. Since 2005 when I started watching setx football , and then playing it for 6 years , west orange was never in that good of a district and they’ve always gone deep in the playoffs before I even started watching so don’t let the fact that they’ve won all of their games 70-0 fool you .

I’ll agree that beating La Marque isn’t anything to be impressed by . And so will everyone else from SETX , silsbee and WOS fans included , but again I just feel it’s disrespectful and inaccurate to say silsbee ain’t even “kinda good” And that’s compared to any 4A II team not just SetX

All I can do is laugh at this statement . There’s only 6 total rounds , I’d says the teams who make it from rounds 3 to 6 are good , and the teams who make it out of round 1 and into rounds 2 or 3 are “kinda good” regardless of what region you’re in. So yeah silsbee is at the very least “kinda good” even compared to Carthage Jasper WOS Gilmer China Spring Salado etc

Exactly. WOS gives up 42 points the entire season , and China springs gives up almost 40 points just last week in their last district game and people think they have a chance to beat WOS ... cmon mannnn . 😂

After seeing your Titans beat United 20-0 just 14 days ago, and seeing your Titans beat Lee 48-28 last night , I’m taking Lee in a low scoring close game. United’s defense isn’t bad at all and Lee’s is a little shaky but I’ll chalk some of that up to the Titans offense being pretty solid. The Lee offense looked alot better than the United offense did comparing just those 2 games.

China Springs has given up close to 40 points 4 times this year and 2 of those times they lost (Salado & Waco Connaly ) . This WOS defense is better than China Springs . Now I agree the jasper guys at RB may be better than the WOS guys in the backfield but as far as the defense he’s 100% correct this is the best defense China Spring has played. If they can hold them to near nothing like Salado did , then WOS doesn’t have to score 30+ points to win, so it won’t matter that they’re not as good as Jasper at tailback if that’s what you think.

WOS by 21. I had jasper by 14, jasper didn’t play well, but even if they played their best game they’re not on WOS level. Jasper ended up playing their worst game of the year , and the China spring team who just struggled last week with a Waco Connaly team who just lost to Center (who jasper blew out) ended up playing much much better against Jasper than they did Connaly (it was night and day). With all of that being said even on Jasper’s best day they’re not WOS , or we get WOS’s best we will have a 21 point win for WOS, if we get a lesser version of WOS and China spring plays their very best again , I still see west orange pulling out the win.

You can “know your team “ all you want , win losses are win losses , state titles are state titles and I stand by what I said .. your win loss from 2010-2020 is no different on average from 80-90 or 90-2000 or 2000-2010 so with that being said there’s statistically and historically proven no regression , but whatever helps ya sleep better at night. Maybe we should let these 2 guys who keep blaming the Barbay’s for every thing just take over for jasper and get some automatic state titles in the next couple years sounds like the jasper fans are being robbed and deserve to be freed from the chains of the Barbay regime lol

“Their dad has nothing to with them” come on what kinda statement is that ... what kind of human gets raised for 18 years by a dad , then goes to work under him and that end up having “nothing to do with them” lol it has everything to do with how they coach football and how they run their programs . Nobody said they are equally as good of coaches as their father as far as X’s and O’s Or as far as any aspect of coaching I never said they’re just the same as their dad .... but I’m making the point they’re not just out here deaf dumb and blind like the jasper fans keep talking about on this website, they know how to run a program as good as anyone else in setx does from 1A to 4A , there’s no other coach going to come in and just put jasper straight into the state finals , they don’t have the talent west orange has so they won’t beat west orange no matter who the coach is, but sure I’ll agree again for the 17th time that yes jasper underperformed this year they were better than the way they finished and yes the coaches have to take blame for that just like the players , but to act like the coaching is jasper’s only problem and with those brothers out of the way you’d be guaranteed more success is just 100% foolish .

I guess we all want success for our teams nothing wrong with that, but at some point we do have to look our recent history and calculate our average win percentages over the past few decades and if the Barbay’s aren’t too far off your schools average win percentage by the decades then you can probably conclude they’re getting about the best they can get out of the talent in the area. Now if jasper was averaging 13 wins a season and putting up state title runs every other year throughout the 80’s 90’s the 2000’s and now all the sudden since Barbay took over they’re getting bounced in the first round then sure I’d point the finger at them.

I’ve only watched jasper twice since 2012 so I’m not clear at all on the difference in a Darrel Barbay offense and a Brian Barbay offense ... I see Brian is the OC and it seems to be the same system he ran at OC but I have no idea who is really in charge but I saw Brian dominate with it at this level for years but again I haven’t watched Jasper enough to give my opinion on the specifics I’m just saying I know the Barbay’s know how to run a program and win some football games here in south east Texas and I’m not sure if I’d rather have someone else in their place , Idk if that guarantees jasper success
