Liberty has been under center most of the year but came out in the spread this game so far

Wos is having a GREAT year of HS football , and so far I would say liberty is having a good year for highschool football as well , how is what we've done just "good for liberty " any team would like to be in our position right now , underfeated and top 10 in Texas ... how is that not good in general ...

If someone can go find on this website where I said liberty will beat wos I'll pay pal you $1000

Nobody said that because we are state ranked that we will win, here we go again , your post is proof of what I did say. ANY credit to liberty is being taken by some of y'all as a knock on wos lol and it's not ...

I could care less about personally having the respect of anyone on this website. I just think BOTH teams deserved to be talked about a lil for being top 10 in the state , instead , there was a lot of negativity , and @goblin I didn't lump you all together , well I tried not to I tried to word what I said in a way that it didn't come off that way but I guess I failed. Good luck to wos next week I hope we have an injury free game, and if y'all are bored tonight come watch us play I'll gladly introduce myself and talk football with any of the wos fans who wanna come to the game , I wasn't trying to say your entire fan base was being disrespectful at all lol it was maybe 1 or 2 people so it just gave off a negative vibe.

I'm in no way saying that you guys aren't a dominant powerhouse , before you get carried away on me for praising liberty i know some of you have taken offense to any liberty praise as if you cant praise both teams, as if any compliment to liberty is a knock on wos or vice versa

It might not be , I've seen both teams play in person this season and watched the film on WOS, they are my pick to win state, but I'd bet my last dollar you haven't seen liberty play not one second this year. That's the only thing that bugs me, you can be the state favorite , and be dismantling people, but I have never been one to make predictions in sports without seeing 1 second of a team that is playing. And i know wosgrad and some other guys on here have probably watched some liberty film and our confident that they will still win which is fine i probably agree, but it just gets on my nerves all the random people, not just wos fans, who have been saying things like WOS is going to smash liberty just like they did HF, okay we may lose and we may get blown out but if you watch the game it wont be "just like HF" because we are on a whole different level than teams like OF and HF this season. The way you guys talk on here is as if you think liberty is the same ole liberty and THAT'S why WOS is going to beat them, NO, Liberty is much better this year than they have been in 15 years without a doubt, WOS will beat them because WOS is THAT good not because liberty is bad.

yeah and doing some good things now in 5A i see, early in the year i wanted to catch a pam game come playoff time but i had no idea that liberty would possibly be making a run themselves so idk if i will be able too. but good luck to pam and png , i try an support all setx teams .... outside of huffman and bh of course because they think their crap don't stink but uh anyone else lets keep reppin for setx lol nah im playin i would still go for bh and huffman over non setx teams

oh im trippin lol i forgot that pam was 5a now and in png's district lmao when i was in school i think pam was 5A and png 4A before they created 6A ... that's live for them too

yup legarious is from our side as well, wish we still had him, wanna hear something else crazy? Crosby WR 6'3 180 lbs junior Jordan Hill played for liberty when he was growing up as well, 3star recruit on 247, I couldn't imagine having those 2 guys with this already talented squad.

yeah crosby is in it too ... but they only do top 10 for the lower classifications they do 25 for 5A and 6A and I was speaking in terms of since I've been on this site and following txhs football since around 2012 we haven't had too many teams in those rankings, you'll see north shore in it when they're good, dayton would crack the top 25 back then as well but i still say it's been fairly rare they show more love to dallas and austin area usually

Are you referring to Tyris Williams, who I believe transferred to Dayton two seasons ago for his sophomore year, led dayton's JV in tackles, and came to Liberty started varsity as a junior and received division 1 scholarship offers following that season to play linebacker? Yall should have used him on your varsity when he was a sophomore if that was legal lol

The fact that the defending state champion West Orange-Stark Mustangs and the Liberty Panthers are in the same district and both ranked top 10 in the state of Texas now according to DCTF rankings for 4ADII. From what I have understood Dave Campbell's Texas Football magazine and rankings are a really respectable poll/magazine when it comes to Texas sports across the state, but there wasn't a lot of buzz on here about two SETX teams in the SAME district cracking that poll, and from what I'm seeing from past rankings its actually rare that ANY schools from SETX make it into DCTF's rankings, so I just thought this would be more of a topic of conversation since this is setxsports.com lol ... and ill admit liberty is never this good so I wanna enjoy our time in the spotlight and have you all come on here and congratulate us on how good we are doin lmao nah not really but I do think this deserves some recognition.

stepping on someone the way he did has no place in football, if this was boxing and he punched him no it is not assault but that is no the case here is it? Is stomping on someone's leg after the play within the sport of football anywhere at all? Can you drive a car on to the field and just start running the opposing team over now since laws don't apply to sports? where it is reasonable they do apply lol if a boxer punches his opponent there's no assault but even the goal is knock your opponent out in the sport, if you pull out a gun an pistol whip him you will get an assault charge your comparison was off by a mile

let me word it into a different scenario for you, your 16 year old daughter sneaks out, steals your car, attends a college party, gets drunk, drives home, and you catch her, she was lucky enough to not crash the car, get caught illegally drinking, hurt anyone on the road, so when she gets home you simply don't punish her? Or do you punish her because she COULD HAVE killed someone, COULD HAVE gotten in trouble with the law?? I personally would punish her just as much as if she would have gotten arrested for the DUI

i mean by law if we are in the street and i jump on you or harm you any way physically then that is assault i didn't know the rules changed when on a football field , that's the nfl he got fined he got suspended , but in high school football i dont see a difference in that and the street assault is assault

yeah that's how the law works, if you pretend to hit someone with a baseball bat, but you accidentally hit them, the law states that the question is "did you intent to swing the bat at all" if it is found that you did intend to swing the bat, that's assault, even if you and the guy were best friends and witnesses said it was a joke, it was an accident, it doesn't matter because the question is not "did you mean to hit him or hurt him" it's simply did you mean to swing the bat and if you did you are guilty of assault. That's of course if that person pressed the charges or the state picked up the charges, i get they might not in my fake scenario of the two people being best friends, but in Texas that is how the law reads, they will decide if you meant to jump on the guy, if you did , you are guilty of assault, you punish him for assault, and jumping on his leg is assault, whether the ankle breaks or not ? it is the exact same crime.

LOL i'm white. i guess this is too sensitive a time for some of you with the election going on to insinuate that a team who was called thugs for doing nothing, who happened to be all black, and a team who had a guy basically commit aggravated assault in front of thousands of people who was all white got called nothing, that maybe it was because of the difference in demographics of the teams involved. maybe it wasn't , i just said it makes you wonder , what's the difference here? maybe there are other differences, but it's not racist or profiling to state a fact that one of the differences is in fact the racial make up of each team lol that's just a fact right there, not saying its the only difference and the only reason or that it is even a reason at all.

Silsbee BC, especially if you live in evadale lol don't drive all the way to liberty , it will be the least competitive game of the 3, im not hating, just tryina save you some gas money

well, i think part of what wos grad was saying, is that you don't punish based off of how injured the victim is lol, you punish him based on how injured he could have been on that move, he could've broken the entire ankle the qb didn't calculate in his mind how bad he was or wasn't about to hurt the guy he was just gunna hurt him, so he needs to be punished as if the ankle was broken in half, because that very well could have happened, so like i said, you take his season, possibly his entire senior year of all sports,but yeah leave the scholarships alone, the schools who offered him them will look into him further, but if they don't find anything else im sure they let this slide, unless it turns into national news or something lol

I myself wasn't trying to downplay what he did, I liked my phrase "1 horrible action" over that guy calling it a bonehead mistake lol, but yeah the scholarship pulling would be pretty extreme too me, but he does deserve a severe punishment but like i said i believe the pulling of scholarships is beyond severe to the point of extremity, but yes this needs to be in the news, it was a "thuggish" action, and schools like Celina like to act like their crap don't stink, and like you said you have people calling other teams thugs for their warm up rituals, well where's the uproar over this? Could it be because celina is predominantly white, and the school everyone was worked up about a dang pre game ritual was predominantly african american? IDK.... but this needs to be exposed, that was some thuggish nasty crap that the QB pulled and he , and his school for being silent, should now be held accountable.......

if NC keeps the turnovers to a minimum or none, and the penalties to a a minimum, I think they win this game regardless, even if BH doesn't turn it over or have many penalties themselves. I think in a perfect game NC has the athletes to beat Bh and yes BH has great coaches but i would say NC staff is among the top staffs in the district as well. Shouldn't see a scenario where one team is out coached by the other.
