What about Liberty? I know im a homer, but the way you worded that "no one else has the talent" well in our case 4A division 2 has very little talent as a whole, and our region specifically is probably the least talented region in 4ad2 outside of WOS who liberty wouldn't have to play till the 4th round. IMO since the talent is watered down, and liberty does have some talent, I'd say the panthers do have the talent to make a run in 4a division 2 in this region.

lmbo , I agree the scholarship removal was over the top. Yes he should be punished. But for that 1 horrible action he shouldn't have his chance at a fee education taken away (if he has one). This season should be over for him, and for a state title contender that is enough punishment right there. It's one thing if they only had 2 games left but they most likely have more, we all know how much we care about high school football as much as a lot of us don't like to admit it, but if you're on this website your hs football care level is probably a bit above average, with that being said I think most of us could agree stripping a kids senior season away, after waiting on it in a town like Celina for 17 years, that's enough punishment right there. Or maybe take it one step up and have him removed from athletics all together not allowing him to play basketball baseball or run track if he does any of those things, but I wouldn't remove scholarships over it.

you right lol my bad, I was just trying to be clear that we didn't start the threat to "beat out chest" 2 weeks in advance, when we have a game this week, I didn't want our conversations on this thread to be taken as Liberty arrogance but I wasn't really suggesting you guys were being arrogant by doing it, just felt some of the posters were trying to get a negative reaction out of us. But Kicker clarified his comments, and I see where he was coming from.

Ok, I see where you are coming from, but we have already beaten a few teams better than HJ and their has been no liberty SETX paparazzi appear, so there's nothing for you to nip before it starts because nothing is going to start if it has not already, and it hasn't, so that's why i felt your comments were a little brash, i mean i can take brash comments im not trippin, i just felt they were uncalled for , but then i read some of the earlier post and i see why you gave that reaction, just had to make myself clear, that we love and support our team, but our base isn't talking trash about wos, or even thinking about yall one single bit to be honest the team is doing everything they can to go 1-0 this week. There is no last week there is no next week, our guys are worried about going 1-0 friday, 1 win no loss, that's it. i agree completely. What stops the larger classification schools from scheduling WOS? Is it because if they win people will say they're suppose to because they are larger? and if they lose it looks bad losing to a smaller classified school even if its wos so its lose lose? or what's the deal with that

I would like to see liberty put some more quality teams on their non district schedule, make the regular season even more fun to watch and help gear up for playoffs, sucks for yall that no one wanted to play yall, but at least you still were able to put some quality teams on the non district schedule regardless , even though yall made them all look like below average teams lol

same for liberty we have to take care of business I am in now way saying Bellville in the 3rd round is a go for us. We have literally never been deep in the playoffs since the late 50's. In the mid 2000's we made it to the 2nd round and got thrashed by Jasper, that was as far as we have been in modern times, this will be new to our town if we go on a run, I hope the players and coaches keep doing what they are doing and focusing on 1 game at a time they come out every week ready to play I haven't seen a liberty team play with this much fire and determination since the mid 2000's. Our bye will come at a good time for us as well , we have a week 10 bye giving us two full weeks to prepare for our round 1 matchup.

WOS , Newton both go to at least the 4th round..... don't know enough about 4A D1 to make any predictions on Silsbee but I hear they have some studs on offense, would like to see them represent for setx and go 2 or 3 rounds deep, same for PAM but I hear 5A can get real tough real quick with schools like Manvel out there, IDK how soon they would meet up

so if Bellville wins their district and their first round match up , and their second round matchup , if liberty got 2nd, won in the first and second round , they would match up with bellville ?

you are right, but Tarkington scored 14 on us with that barnyard offense.. I think it's more of when we are up by a few scores they get those TD's in garbage time so if this actually ends up being a close game, you could expect a 28-21 type game because of the styles of offense, those 56-21 scores are coming from fans who are predicting a blow out, we get up 35-0 and let off the gas and they score 2 or 3 making it 56-21. If this game isn't a blowout, the score wont look that high it would look closer to our Shepherd game score 20 something to 20 something, but if we do get up by quite a few early, that's where I see it being 42-21 and other fans saying things like 56-21 and so on and so forth.. but if it's a close game you won't see a 56-45 type of score board with these offenses youll something in the 20's from each side

despite how bad our region supposedly is, I think it will "all play out" with West Orange Stark as the state champions of Texas. 4AII of course.

Oh okay. Yeah I was surprised that Liberty jumped that high after winning against average and below average teams the past few weeks, I'm not going to act like anyone predicted this or expected this lol.

A LOT stiffer competition than Shepherd, and stiffer competition than Liberty as well but not A LOT stiffer. Liberty's non-district could've been better, no doubt, and since we are expecting a playoff run now, I wish it would have been, but with that being said it was't a completely terrible non-district schedule as certain polls have Coldspring and Woodville ranked in state, although they are one classification under Liberty they still aren't bad opponents, neither was Shepherd.

Watching the film prior to playing them, I didn't think they could pass at all. It's mainly a run team out of the gun. However, against Liberty they randomly started passing the ball as the game went on and it worked out really good for them. Their initial offense was stuffed when the game started I thought we were going to win by a few scores, but their QB is actually good when they let him open it up they did well getting their running back Kamrin Wright into space. He's really good.

Woodville and Coldspring are both state ranked on many sites.. for instance the site that you just praised on another thread you said you think the old coach is better than Dave Campbell's rankings. Well the old coach has coldspring and woodville state ranked, we beat them both, win another of our wins coming from Shepherd who is ranked on this site , has only 1 loss, and will compete for a district championship in their district. I'd say for polling purposes those wins would be considered quality wins. All of that along with the fact that 4A D2 talent level is watered down, is why Liberty is ranked that high. I'm guessing you like the old coach better simply off the fact that Bellville is ranked higher than liberty on that one, and not on DCTF...
