  1. Yeah I don't think Bellville will have any problems with Tarkington Friday night
  2. Yeah that's gunna be a good one to watch for sure !
  3. I've yet to see Bellville play, you think they are on a different level than Shepherd?

  5. [Hidden Content] Just a little bit of Liberty being Liberty. This is what Liberty looks like, this is what we usually look like, it's just amazing what a little coaching can do. Coach Taylor is building a program. Taylor is from Liberty, it took exactly that for us to be successful, someone who knows the ins and outs of the town and the politics behind it all. We never get bonds passed we never get our facilities upgraded, we never go and pay a lot of money for a good HC, but bringing in this home town guy was the perfect move. He knows what he has and doesn't have and knows what to expect from the community. No complaints, just getting the job done with what he have finally, and we always have talent, now we have coaches that know what to do with that talent.
  6. To make it a lil more interesting for those who didn't see my previous post about rivalries. Liberty leads the all time series between the Panthers and the Hawks 22-13-2 with 2 playoff games between the 2 teams with that series tied at 1-1. This is of course including the games dating back to when HJ was just Sour Lake HS and not HJHS.
  7. People have got to stop suggesting that somehow because some random posters on SETX are talking about the WOS game before the HJ game, doesn't mean in any way shape or form that anyone is overlooking HJ. Especially not the players and coaches, who may read what gets said, but could care less. Yet week in and week out , all across this board, fans tell other fans "keep sleeping on us see what happens" as if someone underestimating your team has any affect on the outcome of the game.
  8. Silsbee will prove to be too fast for BC. Silsbee wins 35-21
  9. I've now seen the HJ vs Jasper film, the HJ vs LCM film, and I went and saw the WOS game in HJ this past Friday, so I only have a few games of HJ's to work with to make my prediction, but i'll stick with my prediction that we beat HJ worse than we beat OF. OF's McGee had 217 rushing yards and 2 TD's against us, without him that game would have been even worse than 42-27. With that being said HJ doesn't have a McGee. #1 is pretty good, but it looks like #29 and #12 get the bulk of the carries and neither of them look as athletic as McGee to me. Without an offensive standout it's gunna be tough for the Hawks to keep up with the Panthers. A few weeks ago I was coming on here and predicting a score and so far they've all been fairly lopsided predictions and I've been ridiculed for it so for the past few weeks I held back and didn't make a score prediction or an analysis of why I thought we we were going to win since they were being taken offensive (although all those predictions played out and we are 8-0) so I decided I would do it this week. OF was a more scrappy team overall than HJ, but HJ was a more a athletic team overall outside of OF's McGee. With all of that being said, I don't think HJ has enough scrap in them on defense to handle Liberty's Alex Brown, Tyris Williams and KK Antoine. I wish I had the official stats of all 3 of these guys.At 5'11 215 Alex is leading the charge this year now with well over 1000 yards i'll get the stats later. KK has been lighting in up with multiple 100+ yard and 2 TD performances. And the big Tryis Williams at 6'2 230 being looked at by D1 schools for Linebacker, can carry the ball as well. The Panther back field will be too much for the HJ defense to stop for 4 quarters. I could see HJ breaking a couple early, #1 and #12 are decent ball carriers, but as the game wears on the panthers will wear HJ out. I predict 42-21 Liberty.
  10. Nobody's trippin we hope our players play hard and well against WOS and stay healthy for the playoffs , that's all we can ask , no one is on here saying we are gunna beat the defending state champs , I am saying we will beat HJ ...
  11. im just gunna guess that you guys dont have access to film, that poster must have never seen liberty play this year, you will lose , and i will bet whatever you want to bet on that .
  12. okay you guys didnt boast thats fine i personally never said you did i said based of what i read on here they were insinuating that you did i personally dont care someone hmu if you really think hj can beat liberty
  13. i mean no disrespect here but if you would like to put your money where your mouth is , let me know, liberty will finish 2nd in this district,
  14. offense 1 playoff game ( when WOS is in your district you just gotta worry about the playoffs) rival win state since technically i guess historically it would be dayton daisetta or cleveland, i would't care if any of them won state since they are all 3 in different classifications than liberty now cross town rival for sure unless you don't have one then choosing an out of state school that is suppose to be as good as you would be interesting. i like what pam did this year.
  15. I was bored, so I went and viewed Liberty's win/loss history. I didn't count it out , but it appears we have played Dayton and Hull-Daisetta , then Cleveland, more than any other teams in our history. It's been a long time since we have played dayton since they moved up a classification, and it's been awhile since we have played Daisetta since they moved down. We played Dayton a total of 52 times in our history more than any other team, HD and cleveland were close I didn't count it out. Now I know other factors go into a "rivalry" not just how many times we have played but I would say dayton being the next town over only separated by the trinity river, i would say that is a rivalry. But that's not why I made this thread I wanna know how many games yall think it even takes to start a rivalry, and if you guys would consider HJ and Liberty a rivalry game, with 37 meetings between the 2 teams, Liberty leads 22-13 with 2 ties, met in the first round of the playoffs twice and were in the same district for several year, and are now in the same district again.
  16. Thanks for clarifying. So I should just expect 60 ish to 0 not 80 ish to 0?
  17. why is this thread 3 pages long WOS will be up 56-0 at half, similar to HF... IDK what they do in the second half , because I haven't seen them play this year, but I'm guessing they let their 7th grade B team have at HF in the 2nd half since I believe it only went from like 62-0 to a 68-0 final. Anyways , if they do that again then same result, 56-0 or 62-0 at half, come out and just shut HJ down in the second half but won't put up too many more scores, unless HJ set the WOS squad off with their boasting , i didn't see the video of the coach and players talking , so IDK if they were really boasting im just going by what i read on here... if thats the case this game could be 70-0 77-0 no one on HJ team is capable of scoring against WOS, #6 is too slow, #12 isn't terrible but he's too slow, and i saw #1 gettin some carries he's aight but if c tyler from silsbee couldn't score, neither can any of these guys...
  18. how would that be taking anything away from the panthers?? you admitted your 3 scores came in a matter of 1:10 seconds due to liberty fumbles on special teams, and that other than that your offense didn't move the ball and the defense didn't show up? I don't think that's taking anything away from us , that's what happened, all your points came from liberty fumbles, 1 literally was a fumble recovery td on a kickoff return and one was a fumble on like the 10 and yall punched it in the next play... and your offense didn't move the ball because the panthers defense played a good game, they gave up points but like you said it was off of special teams turnovers
  19. I think silsbee is a 4A division 1 team and we are 4A division 2
  20. I agree, he's had some monster hits this season too. He lit Orangefield's quarterback up twice in a row last friday and the stands couldn't sit down for about 5 minutes everyone was basically yelling oooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lol
  21. the quarterback is one of the hardest workers on the team i mean they all work hard but he plays every snap at free safety as well as QB and he gets after it all game, he's smart, and disciplined and i don't think hes done growing either he's only a sophomore his dad is a coach on the staff and former all state QB for Hull-Daisetta i believe. The people of liberty including myself are excited to have this young man under center for the next couple of years he's an outstanding young man on and off the field.
