  3. More Pictures of the game. These are the Nederland-Central game.
  4. Some pictures of the game-I think these are the Central-Nederland game-sorry.
  5. Dayton 5-2 but they better not let them hang around, they can play some ball.
  6. Nederland--McFarland, Sampere, Richard
  7. I've watched most of the Nederland games this year and at this time I would not bet my life that they are going to beat Vidor. They find new ways to lose every game. They forget how to field, throw and catch. Their bats have seeing eyes to the opponents gloves--one hop, easy bouncers, long hit fly balls to the fence for an out, etc. Strike outs-passed balls or throwing errors to first. They are what you would call---Snake Bit. We need some anti-venom. Inside those uniforms there are a bunch of all-stars but they have to come out sometime soon--but it's still early-not too late. The season's young.
  8. Nederland vs Vidor game moved up to 3:00 from 7:00 due to threat of rain tonight.
  9. I just got a phone call and was told that this game has been moved up to 3:00 4:00 from 7:00 due to the threat of rain tonight. This came from one of the Nederland boys on the bus. Obviously, nothing is set in concrete and I don't guarantee it won't change again. But I will be there for a 4:00 game.
  10. Nederland's hitters have been hibernating. They are just on the verge of coming alive and when they do, they will be hard to beat, by anyone! They will win this game! The pitching has got to improve and I think they simply need to call pitches that keep hitters more off balance. It's a guessing game and we've been guessing wrong.
  11. I would like to tell you all how a scrimmage was held at the New Caney Park a couple weeks ago which Nederland attended. It avoided the kind of thing that got out of hand in this case. Each team was in the field for 15 pitches. Then they swapped sides. If a team left runners on base, when they went to bat the next time, the runners returned to the bases. This gave them base running experience, pitchers had to hold them on and consequently when runs came across home, it really didn't matter. Batters hit, pitchers pitched, fielders fielded, ect. It was not a regular game situation. It was kinda screwy but it worked pretty good and no one went home embarrassed. My 2 cents.
  12. All American-not just Texas 4A Micah Mosley
  13. Ryan Sampere Soph of Nederland-He is quick, has good reflexes and a great arm.
  14. McFarland of Nederland and the game he played against Montgomery last night was fantastic for a Soph. or any age player! He made critical stops of some hard hit ground balls and made all the outs with Smith's help when needed. He scooped some low throws and made tag outs on errant throws. He also got a critical RBI single early in the game.
