Starters played until the last 2 minutes. McCain punched a BC player in the back of the head & should have been ejected. All 3 officials just happened to miss that.

At least Bluedove agrees with me. All coaches need some talent to succeed. The great ones just maximize it. DickieV says it's all coaching, talent not required.

Anthony Wheeler (same class as Malik) has been getting reps at MLB. I think that will alllow Malik to move to the outside.

I have a feeling if Trump somehow wins the election (will be tough), that there will be riots throughout the country in minority strongholds. I hope not, but from seeing what has happened in his campaign, I can imagine it getting way worse.

Again...reading posts in required to have an intelligent conversation. You are just blindly defending your coach (understandable), but NO ONE is attacking him. He is a great coach. My contention is with you not giving any credit to the NBA players and Div 1 players that helped achieve those championships. It takes MORE than great coaching to win a state championship.

Difference is in the NBA, EVERYBODY has talent.

But your posts do seem to infer that it's "all because of the coach."

You are not reading my posts if you think I am saying it's "all because of the athletes."

Excuse? Jealous? I am pretty sure I just gave much props to Coach Boutte. He certainly deserves it. I just don't think you are giving any credit to the talent he has coached along the way. Can we agree that if Coach Boutte went to say Vidor or Lumberton that he most certainly wouldn't be making any trips to Austin? Those schools can still have fantastic seasons, but realistically don't have the talent to go all the way. Talent is not an option, but rather a requirement to win state championships, especially at the higher classifications.

Boutte does a fantastic job, and is a good guy to boot. He will turn them around for sure. But it would be nice every now and then to give just a little credit to those NBA talents and scores of Div 1 players that contributed to his success. They did have a little something to do with it. But yes, a great coach is needed too in order to reach their potential.

Aggies don't want any in football for those terrible Longhorns. That's for sure.
