District 38 caught District 37 during Spring Break, which was critical to their success.  Liberty and Livingston were both missing several starters, which changed the whole outlook of the games.  District 38 might be better, but it was more timing than talent.
Are you joking or serious?  ???
 2.

By the time LCM approaches the Veterans bridge down by 3
I just hope LCM is only playing against 9 nederland players on the field. I think that is what walk-off is talking about.  ;D
I just hope the bus driver takes the Rainbow Bridge going to Ned and the Veterans on the way home. (Unless they changed the traffic pattern).
 3.
Which team do you guys impproved the most and had some of the mst shocking victories?
I'll take a "stab" at it. (Or a swing at it)  ;) Central Jaguars. There You Go #7

 6.
i think it is good too give out awards to more kids. They work all season and play hard during district so its nice for more than just the "star" players to get awards. and plus it makes the kids feel good and it gives the kids something to look back on and be proud of. In the end the awards really dont mean anything so i think it is nice to give extra players to the teams.
The awards WOULD mean something if ..................
Not only starters -- but it looks like it doesn't stop there. Ozen has 8 players listed. Nederland has 6. Looks pretty watered down. Good Gosh - How about scorekeepers, managers, and bus drivers.
and broadcasters. ;D This is ridiculous.
Yep-- Throw in the broadcasters also. - ;D

It happens!  HJ dont cont your eggs before they hatch! Nobodody remembers the Regional final a year from now... The only bragging right is to win State.  Good luck HJ!  Heads up for next year Kountze.
You gotta count them before they hatch -after they hatch its a bunch of little shells. You mean don't count your chickens...........

 12.

Do you believe local town "support" or lack there of, affects the preformance of a team?.. may just be a stupid question with an obvious answer..
I wouldnt worry about whether or not your question is stupid.  There are a number of questions posted here that make your query look like it was initiated by Einstein.
That is so true.  ;D
 13.

you don't bench a two year starter, but you keep your stud in the mix.  He was put in as an almost last resort and that seems odd given his success.
Buddy, can you read... Roughrider said he's been hurt when he could've had that opportunity. He was hurt as in, limping around with a bum knee, as in did not practice or play from the 2nd quarter of FW to the Central game.  He was hurt.  Let me say it again in case you missed it, he was HURT.
;D
 14.
I am not sure.................but they have not been cometitive since Brian DeLord graduated!!!!
DeLord graduated in 99 or so -- They went a few rounds in the playoffs a few years later ('02 or so) when Jeff Keener was coach and Cedric Lornette, Cody Elliott, Sonny Haynes and Jake Loicano.  Bottom line is they had a good coach back then and he got a lot out of his players. Jeff was a ral basketball coach, not an assistant football coach that got assigned to bball. Not much since then though.
 15.
Coaching is tough because Sutherland was at both and won titles with both!!!!!  Joubert is a great coach as well and has won a title.  Since Joubert and I are friends and graduated together and Sutherland was my Algebra teacher in high school I will give it a draw!!!!! ;D ;D ;D Team wise you have you have to give the edge to HJ because they have had their way with Kountze over the last few years.  The edge is there but not by much!!! Player wise I will say that these two have produced some of the best high school players in SE Texas over the last decade!!!!!  Kountze has had the Hancocks, Peters, Hall, Busby, Brey and others that I am sure that I am leaving off.  HJ has had Tyler, Donahoe, Benard, the Burrells, The Williams, Turner and others that I am sure that I a leaving off as well!!!!  I will give this a draw as well!!!! ;D ;D ;D
As a tiebreaker, if Sutherland was a good Algebra teacher perhaps you could state the Pythagorian Theorem (sp  ? ). And no cheating. Other wise Joubert and him will remained tied.  ;D
 16. Just another obstacle But no matter how great the weather's impact, you can never run from the final result. “You don't want there to be any excuses or anything else to take away from the accomplishment the kids made,†Crosby coach Kevin Flanigan said. “It's raining on both sides of the field, so you have to play in the same conditions, and down here in this part of Texas, for sure, you're going to have to play in bad conditions, so you better be prepared.†That's what it comes down to — how prepared players are for weather, not necessarily by the coaches but in their own minds. Some get caught up in holding onto the ball and lose control of the game. That's why Aymond refuses to blame the rain to the media and won't even give his players that out in private. “It's not about the other team, it's not about the weather — it's about us,†he said. “I'm a big believer that you've got to overcome whatever the obstacle is. “Football is a lot like life. You've got to earn everything, and the field conditions and weather conditions we play in create hardships just the way that life presents you with hardships. “You've got to overcome.†It seems only one is STILL making excuses or whatever you want to call them. Good grief.
 17. Thats probably more true than you think. My computer got a virus (from this site) after poking a little fun at WOS.
