Its a slow day, the Astros are aleady down 3-0, and I'm just bored. I think its great that she probably would have been one of the top finishers for the boys. All in fun. (But I still think the Yates situation is over the top in classlessness)

I see where the 21-3A Girls Golf  Individual Medalist (B. McDonald) won by 39 strokes over the 2nd place individual. 39 strokes? Surely her coach should have instructed her to play blindfolded or play with only a putter and a 9 iron, to keep from demoralizing the other girls. (But that wouldn't have been the "WISE" thing to do)  ;D Seriously congrats to all of the competitors.

Don't hold your breath waiting on a retraction from any of the "bluedoves". They were just lashing back because some on this board dared to question the Yates Basketball coach's scores. Those people are really clueless when it comes to human decency and sportsmanship. To some of them its all about kicking someone while they are down and then beating your chest. Really sickening.

Nice article.  Those early 80's TJ teams were somerthing else. They had the support of practically the whole area back then.
