Congrats Silsbee, You guys never say die!!! You gave our Defense a double handful last night & I hope all injured players on both sides fully recover quickly & completely. Your RB's are very tough to bring down before they either make first downs or Worse, TDs!  These kinds of games are why this is My favorite time of year! Thanks for making it memorable!!!

Dang! You guys only have ONE??? Count your blessings! We have Several on SDC who are about like him, but he IS special in his own way... Glad to know SETX has stable people too! Lol! 

By the way, with all of the smack talk being fired from both sides with predictions of blowouts of 40-50 points down to more realistic predictions of 14-21 point spreads, I will stick to my 10 point win that I posted on Smoaky the other day; After all, that's 10x enough points to get the "W".... Go Dawgs!

Actually, my comment was Not intended for you, but somehow it appears that I was; please pardon me for the misunderstanding my comment caused! 

My post was in response to the ever angry Badsanta's rant about the good, working class citizens of Carthage, whom he Clearly is jealous of for making &30,000 seem like a Million dollars, or whatever point he was trying to make...

With respect to my "verbiage", I simply was trying to demonstrate that communication between people is much more enjoyable when carried out in a civilized fashion instead of rude gutter talk, which by the way, I am ALSO quite fluent in! ( I have been banned from Smoakey.com Twice because of it, as many over there can attest to!) I simply was trying to be polite seeing that it one of my first posts on This forum! ( One Does only Get ONE first impression, after all. )

People who get their dander up over a sports message board probably should refrain from having conversations where divergent points of view are exchanged.

Perhaps some Anger management therapy would benefit them and provide them with skills at pleasant social interaction with other anonymous participants engaged in the talking of smack regarding the pros and cons of their respective  hometown's sporting activities; I.e., Football, baseball, basketball, horse shoes & so on.

Also, consumption of alcohol and other mind altering substances only exacerbates as well as escalates the degree of "hurt butt" experienced by these individuals who find themselves dispossessed of a credible leg upon which to stand while coversing in smack, and is strenuously discouraged.

Hopefully, adherence to sobriety and decorum will one day lead to increased levels of pleasant dialogue during discussions about sporting events at Educational Facilities, which in the grand scheme of things, are intended to be a diversion from the less enjoyable activities in the lives of people, such as Work!

Like you, I too had concerns, & yes, even doubt about our chances of going very deep into the playoffs in the early games. The Dogs just seemed to be inconsistent then. There were games where things just didn't click, & I felt like both the Gilmer & Kilgore games were squandered because both games were well within reach, we just missed critical opportunities to succeed. I do feel there were some distractions, without naming names , which seem to be resolved now and the team has gelled nicely now & all seem to have a common goal now which is winning it all, once more and the way they have played in the past six weeks is proof enough for me that    the Dawgs are once again a Serious contender for The Crown!

Oh no; not me! I ain't takin' Any chances during the playoffs! I have been Rehabilitated; Hopefully!

Hello SETX fans!  This is my first post on this site because my confirmation email was in my Spam folder & I wasn't able to get onboard until now! 

First, about Carthage blowing Silsbee out of the water this Friday night; I think that's going a tad overboard. We are both coming down to the nitty gritty & those one sided victories are probably not going to happen here. 

The Navasota game was a war between two evenly matched adversaries who were playing Life or Death for the chance to advance. No One in th' place had a Clue who was leaving as the winner until Eppler fumbled the pitchout to the RB on their final drive toward the goal with 1:02 left to play! 

Being a Carthage "homer", I have us as a 10 point favorite. I just hope everyone stays safe both to & from the game, & hope we have a good clean penalty free game & may the winner advance to the Championship & take the Crown!
