it's only been a "good game" since the past couple years, seems like people I talk to from vidor who follows setx football refers to the Ned/vidor game a "rivalry" to the point where some think the Ned/PNG rivalry ended in 2009.....where ever that came from. I've heard coach Matthews personally say Nederland is the team he wants to be like so maybe that's stemming the "rivalry" atmosphere there. Maybe not, for sure a good game the past couple years though, no arguing that (well maybe not last year)

The only people that really consider it a rivalry is the residents of vidor themselves. Believe me pep rallys against PNG are wayyyy bigger than they are against vidor in the dog dome, and I graduated not that long ago.

I'm quite positive PNG vs Nederland is way bigger to the dogs than the Pirates. Way bigger, it's in a state wide scale, like the 3rd or 4th largest rivalry in the state

I agree, Livingston won't make it and I doubt vidor will. Lumberton should see at least another game after the regular season.

Lumberton should get the W next week. Nederland hammered Livingston and Ned still played sloppy, score could been in the 60s, so the L train should do work next week for sure

For Sure, I'd rather they figure it out than be a mystery all season. I think dayton is doing some of their own figuring, squeaking by to not go 0-2, but we've got a lot of football ahead. Playoffs is gonna be interesting
