Many make the same statement about Barrow, but he lost his job. Similar season outcomes the last few years in a few Nederland sports so where is the outrage for other head coaches firings & hiring coaches that can win district titles, beat png & make regular playoff runs(wins)?
Monte was the AD, that holds more salary, responsibility and is the first change to be made when results aren't delivered

rumor has it that rich will be new coach but buying house and sending his kids to png🤣🤣
lol when the for sale signs come out and get put in his yard from the residents then we know we've made it. Or whatever it was PNG fans did when they couldn't buy a W in MCM

All of this PNG talk on this thread but no mention on how good their basketball team is ??
Funny you mention that, they've always been weak one time a group of my friends from church beat their starters. But that's been an accepted fact and football reigns king here. But still a true story a church league of guys under 6' won

Exactly….kudos to all the bond naysayers back in 2008-9 in Nederland that slowed progress for your city…the bill is now coming due...ironically, it is likely most of the same people who seem to be do most of the complaining about the state of things today...interesting
Don't get me started. My age group got shafted on the boomers killing the bond. This go around we were old enough to vote and kicked Sally and Gertrude to the curb, they dead now anyway

PN-G has two towns to pull from Nederland just 1
Even with that Nederland always had more, at least that's what I remember from the 05-12 era

The enrollment shocked me. I always thought Ned had more kids than PNG but the numbers are massively different. Nederland better get them new schools going and the programs back in shape.

Here's hoping the new school will spark the long over due move Nederland has needed, flush the boomers out, get some young vision in there. Have the kids run broadcast (the last broadcasting crew was dog water) NDN Press makes it look like ESPN, not the 1990s. Anyway, the school was long overdue (why did it get axed in 09? The boomers) but my age group was old enough to vote this go around and won. How did we go from the 2012 type pride the school had to total embarrassment in 2022? Were only administration change away from losing it all and nearly have. Nederland should never be "restored to its former glory" cause it should have never left. Nederland has always been behind the times with its administrators. Why were cell phones banned when I was in school? Cause the old heads couldn't see past the 1990s and into the future. It's things like that, that should have been pushed to change in the early days. It's not like I went to school in the early 2000s it was 2010s for crying out loud. So I say, build the school, allow the food trucks in (different topic but along the same lines), build the activities and bring in the technology and allow them to use it. The CT program changed like 10 fold, it's incredible what the CT program has accomplished in the last few years so I know with the right people in charge it is possible to have positive change.

Larry wanna come back?

The applications will come flooding in though, that's for sure

Hopefully it'll be nice addition to the new school, let's not screw this up.

Man LH can scores quick. Now I see why the coach is dragging it out

I really don't see PNG losing next weekend

You have a D1 level kicker and you don't give him a chip shot with 16 seconds left?
-
Y'all remember the formula for beating LH? Hand it to Nguyen and let him work

He definitely gave it his all!
Certainly, that first play was a dime. He carried the team this year (literally) with the help of the RB.

Bailey getting hammered on that drive. No time to throw and he's still almost hitting the WRs. Looked like Nunley was held a bit on that route

I think a lot of us felt LC wasn't all they were cracked up to be when they played Nederland. PNG was a much better team imo and it's showing now

To me they're perfect number. I think they stay d1 for awhile
Maybe so, seems like it's growing over there. Kinda miss them in 5A like it use to be when they was in our district with LCM and Vidor. Good times.

Crazy, well it won't be long if it stays up like it has been

Speaking of numbers, Lumberton gotta be getting close to moving back up to 5A D2, seems everyone is moving there.

I do not know why some players are quitting to go to 1 sport or simply walking the halls at Nederland
I do know that the football players are not getting quality coaching. If they were, you would not see the results we are seeing.
I see an offense that can’t score against good teams, a defense that, has given up more points in 1 season than a team should give up in 3, and special teams that may have possibly been the worst in the district.
The last 2 seasons have been really bad and surely the administration has seen this.
IMO, it is past time for coaching changes at Nederland
The quitting is so bad everyone knows about it. They don't like the coaching staff and tbh it's been past time for the "run left run right and pass" calling to go. We don't have a Mosley, Raines, Kimler, Krautz or Seay to bail us out anymore. Pass the ball like a team from the 2020s not 1980. Just my .02 but if the staff is an issue they need to clean it out. Say all you want about the "kids need to toughen up" stuff. Tell it to the booster who pay for wins. Trust they won't accept that excuse. Hopefully this team stays for next year
Livingston lions has officially announced there new football stadium!! It will be completed by 2026!!

Who was that beast QB for Livingston? He was super shifty and hard to tackle. Went to UT maybe?
