  1. You are correct - Meyers is a VERY good blocker ! ;D
  2. [move]IT ![/move] That's all you'll get from me......... ;D
  3. FIRST..... No excuses, just facts....... - BC is very young - Their youth is inexperienced - They have talent - They lack skill - The have been bitten hard by the injury bug, keeping those talented, young, inexperienced players from getting MORE experience and skill. * Skill is the difference in finding the open receiver instead of a INT. * Skill is a linebacker filling a hole, instead of getting blocked 3 yards off the line of scrimmage. * Skill is HITTING and WRAPPING, not throwing arms and getting dragged down the field. Skill comes with practice, determination, and confidence. It WILL come - Maybe not this year, but it will come, and when it does, BC will be back in contention! I will say it again - 0-10 season? - I don't care - I'm GLAD Coach Stump et al are there working with our kids! They have my support!
  4. VERY good post, by both of you, and I couldn't agree more! The Cards may not be back next year, but it WILL happen - They WILL be back! It doesn't help that we have had as many injuries as we have, keeping kids off the field, and out of the learning curve. I am very glad we have Coach Stump, and I believe he will be great for BC and our kids, in ALL sports. I just hope the transition is quick!
  5. I think they would looka LOT better with some RED on their jerseys, instead of all that maroon! They looked good - Not like the 14 or so sophmores we played with!
  6. It didn't matter that ANY TD's were called back - You just scored soon enough anyway, and from a little farther out...........Don't blame the refs! ;D
  7. SEE ? ? ? What did I tell ya ! ! ! It was only 55, and we DID get 7! J/K - Congrats to the Tigers on a good game. BC has a LOT to work on, but I stayed til the end, and will continue to do so to support these kids!
  8. FUNNY! ! ! ! IF it were to be that lopsided , BC would score on the Tiger subs. Keep it real! :-*
  9. Well, I can't let you down, then....... ;D Sislbee - 38 BC - 42 In typical 2007 high-scoring BC fashion, Silsbee forgets to bring their cleats, and BC takes advantage of turnovers. : Now, in all reality, if Silsbee DOES bring their cleats, this prediction is null and void............. WOS08 - Happy now? :-* (j/k)
  10. BC will score plenty of points against the botton-tier teams in District. The problem will be not letting the opponent score MORE points. If the Defense doesn't improve drastically, and soon, they will be 0-fer. And please don't think I'm bashing players OR coaches - I'm just making an observation. I will be at every game, and stay 'til the last play is over to support my team. I KNOW these kids are giving it everything they have, from the first play to the last - I just know that the result on the field right now will not let us be successful without some changes. And Coach Stump - I'm VERY glad you're here, with the rest of the staff. I just wish your style would had gotten here sooner!

  14. Thanks for the words, WES! Classy post! Good luck to you guys!
  15. The Cardinals are young and small, but they showed more heart tonight "as a team" than the Varsity squad has in YEARS! I believe we completed more passes tonight in the wet conditions than ALL of last year! What a surprise! Yes, it will be a bit of a down year, because of youth and inexperience, but it will be an UP year for "team" play. Coach Stump has apparently challenged these kids, are they are TRYING to meet his challenge. No one likes an 0-1 record, but there were a lot of glimpses into the future tonight, and they looked bright! GREAT JOB, GUYS!

  18. And a big THANKS to several girls participating this week-end who helped the CRUSH 16U's when we were short on players. I had this week-end scheduled "off" since the first of the year, but I couldn't pass up the chance to get the girls some more work. We were short as many as 3 players at times, and several girls volunteered to help us out and play with us. They were from: 4 - CRUSH 18 (Jaynes), 2 - LA Edge, and 2 - Terror. Thanks, ladies!
  19. I didn't get to check the replies like I thought I would before the game........... I WILL be there, at the picnic tables, tomorrow night! Big guy, red shirt, green Orange CRUSH cap.........
