Stepping stone? Maybe that's why they should have given it to the guy who actually went to school there, is from Beaumont and would probably be there long term if successful...
Langston is not a High School coach, he wants to be at college level. Only reason he applied was to maybe
have a job since he got walking papers at Lamar. He already at north texas.

Now if you guys are like me you can't get enough football. There is so much to be excited for the coming season. I'm a 22-5a fan and follower so that is the one I know most personally. Feel free to comment on other districts and other classification. Here I go, Ill list the teams most likely to win the district then pick a winner.
PAM- This may very well be the most talented offensive unit that teams have had to face in a while. WIth Ketha Jones running the show, I anticipate PAM to either lead or be near the top of the district in rushing. No team in district stopped Elijah Hines last year. Under Ketha's direction, the offense should be all clyinders..... if the coach doesnt get in the way. Defense speed will be good still even minus KJ.
PNG- Shug's health will go a long way in this. If he is able to remain healthy with his workload, the Indians easily go three rounds deep if not more. If not, the season takes an entire different perspective. Offense will be improved but will the defense after losing SR studs? Even with guys like Lejeune speedy teams were able to take advantage. (PAM, College Station) IF the defense, and this is a big IF, can perform on a high level consistently and in big spots, the district WILL go through PNG
Vidor-One hell of a season but can they repeat it.A couple of their rushing studs have now graduated. How will that affect the ground game. If the offense slows down will their defense be able to compensate as they struggled with big plays against the better district teams
Nederland- New coach, same business. I expect the other black and gold to return to competing for a DC. Nederland has talent and is well coached. Anytime you have the kind of coaching consistency for that many years you create a culture. I expect them to be back, but still lose to PNG lol
Central- not much to say. We all know Central has talent comparable to nearly anywhere in the state. The question is can they put together a staff capable of harvesting their gold mine?
District Winner- Unless Roschon is able to produce otherwordly numbers that day and the D holds Elijah and Ketha, PAM SHOULD win this. Anything goes though, and I would never count out #2 to come back and win a game. So with things as they are in theory, I think PAM wins district by 1 game over PNG.
1.PAM
2.PNG
3.Nederland
4.Vidor* This was very difficult to pick. I wanted to place Central there but I don't know if I cant count on their consistency.
PAM--- will have the athletes just depending on if kids, parents and coaches can stay focused to achieve goal of winning DC and going deep into playoffs.
Vidor-- this group of kids should produce with no problem as long as kids stay health
PNG-- There is a lot of pressure for QB to carry this team, it may get them to a DC , but going much deeper than
2 or 3 deep into playoffs is long shot. just don't have the talent to compete. Plus they must stay injury free
Nederland- New coach same system -- injuries will also be the key .
Overall these 4 teams will fight for a DC, each has a their share of studs and it should be a good season. Hope everyone
stays healthy.
Central- not sure if they even have a HC yet, talent is there but in the BISD it is all about ME and not the team.
1. PNG
2. Memorial
3. Vidor
4. Nederland.
5. Central

If Peevey is successful he will be gone within a couple of years, this is a stepping stone for him. BISD is so dysfunctional why would anyone
with any sense want the job. Only reason build resume or your cannot get employment at any other school.

I have known coach barbay for a very longtime,( going back to working summers in plants during college years). This guy has
football and winning in his DNA. JISD has bigger issues going on in my opinion. My guess is Super is not about athletics and does not understand how football is king in this area. Grades are # 1 but you take care of your HC/AD and he will build winning programs in all sports. he will land on his feet and build whatever program he is at into winners as well.

There is a TYFA League Team in Beaumont. The name is SETX Oilers. Also there is another New Team that will play in the SYFL (Snoop Youth Football League) the name is SETX Cardinals. I believe the Cardinals will be reaching out to all Southeast Texas Youth. Check out both of their Facebook pages
do not know much about the team playing in Snoop league, SETX Oilers from what I hear are the ones who
left Bulls because all the kneeling drama. STJFL probably happy some teams are dropping out.

You tried this last year and no luck what is different this year?

Reading all the post are interesting, if NISD names English as AD, he may reach out to Mathews they have a history
together. It will be hard for an outsider to come in and really carry on what LN has built. Look at PNG one bad year and people
putting for sale signs in the coaches yard. Also facilities are horrible and in todays high school football world that means a lot at the level
Nederland plays at. It will be interesting to see what happens over the next few months. As far as LN going to Kelly that would be interesting .

A little salty or nah?
Kid balled out in the season AND saw postseason action... What's your gripe about it? (i know your real gripe. lol)
why not give other kids that performed at his level or better same applause ? if you going to throw stats out put them all out
so people can see and compare how they rank against each other. Like I have said your the expert on everything from football to basketball. It is amazing to me you have not been scooped up by someone to help turn a program around. I will refer to you as The Great One.

What in the world does this even mean... Tavian Mayfield doesn't post on this board to my knowledge. What do you mean by the guy like to see how he ranks against other kids playing the same position, what in the world?
look at his stats compared to kids at QB in the area should come in about 5th or so. BMT SOUL wants to act like
this kid is setting all kinds of records.

If you call averaging nearly 4 total TD's a game "about average" then I guess so.
look at his numbers against area kids and statewide.
nothing against kid hope he lands scholarship, just funny when these so called experts
try and flex their knowledge and they really have no idea what they are talking about

And Soulja already gave you that info on Tavian.
so he did not play 13 games and ended year with about average stats?

It starts in the off season, while most of the kids playing at Vidor,PNG, Ned, Lum, etc go from football to basketball, baseball, or soccer. The kids from WOS and Newton are have started working for next football season. That is the nature of the beast with bigger schools you have athletes that pick one sport and play it. Also if you look at the teams that are in the playoffs most of them are building at the middle school and jr high level. BISD middle school programs are a joke, there is nobody guiding these coaches and would bet some of them are not even certified teachers mostly washouts who still think they know the game. Excluding WOS and Newton if your team wins district, makes playoffs and even goes a couple deep be HAPPY. State Championship at 5A and 6A level will NEVER happen in Southeast Texas.
If Kelly was smart offer scholarships and build a program( get a quality coach) that is where your State Championship can be won in Southeast Texas.

If you extrapolate Tavian's number for a 13 game season, he would have passed for 2594 yds passing, 914 yd rushing and 49 TDs
give me real numbers for the end of season, not what he would do if he played 13 games.
It seems kid has talent just a numbers guy who likes to see how he ranks against other kids playing same position.

I really could care less about this situation but reading this entire post is just down right funny. Its originally about West Brooks coach making a bad decision. for whatever reason he did what he did is all on him. I agree something should have been done on the district level to deter some of the theft but...... but its funny how this becomes a BISD scandal or how coach foreman is brought into the conversation. Im sure all coaches have had their run ins with the administration but for them to tell you in confidence and then for you to post that on a public forum sure looks good on the part of everyone mentioned. as a head coach its your obligation to uphold the best interest of the district. Sure we all know BISD has some problems but its not wise for any employee to bash their employer . With this post seems like you dont want either of these coaches to be successful yourself!!!! it a public forum and Im sure the people that are in charge of BISD lurk here as well.
I agree this form as gotten way off base, I do wonder what makes BMT SOULJA1 the expert in everything? I am from BMT and hope
to see all BMT schools successful not just 1 or 2. maybe that is the problem with BISD there is to many it's about my kid or
we go play somewhere else verses doing what is best for the team ( like they do in vidor, Ned, PNG, WOS ,etc) . Maybe BMT SOULJA1 can explain he seems to know everything...

Rushing - 82 carries - 562 yards - Avg 6.9 - Y/G 70.3 - 9TD
Tackles - 14 solo - 6 asst - 20 Total - 3 Int - 2TD
Total Yards - 2158 Total TD - 30
Great season, young man!
can you post the Jones kid numbers ? I would like to see where these 2 compare
-
If Lamar wants to be successful they need to fire the AD, he is nothing but a bean counter. I was not happy with
Woodard but when you have the injuries at the end I can see giving 1 more year. Plus typical Golden Triangle we all
want a winner and if we have a rough season it is fire the coach. The fans have to stick with team through it all.

Where does the Mayfield kids numbers compare to jones that was at Legacy last year?

PeeWee
BMT B vs PA--- PA in upset , BMT trying to redeem themselves from falling short last year and pressure is building .
Small School-- toss up
JR
Lum W-- PNG W --- battle to the end with PNG W ending up on top
Small School--- toss up
Sr.
West BMT-- BMT W : will be a game of Speed and West BMT has it, plus their defense has proven itself every weekend.
WOSB-- OF--- WOSB wins in a slug fest .

Nice try. 2 missed playoffs in the last 20 years. Another part of the agenda kick them while thier down, because they know that Ned will be back next year. Can your team say the same?
Man I hit a nerve, if it was PNG you Nederland fans would be kicking them while they are down.
And my team is the Mustangs of WOS ....

Depends, was he knowingly holding the illegal practices? And can you prove that Neumann did something illegal knowing that it was illegal?
A seasoned coach like Neumann should not make a mistake like that, I believe he was desperate and rolled the dice.

Grundy, you made the safe Super Bowl pics. I like to make it interesting is why I picked the all upset Super Bowl. Going chalk is boring but usually the right way to go. That is why it is called chalk. I can see Bmt-W getting upset before the Bmt-B because Lum-R is just lucky to be here and been lucky all season. PTA seems to have a better functioning offense than earlier in the season. Maybe their athlete will show up and win another one.
PTA better functioning offense, they scored 7 pts against BMT Bulldogs, LUM R small size was the weak link and BMW capitalized on
it.
