1. Nederland used to run that play a few times a year.  I haven't seen them do it in a while.  Maybe they are saving it for 19-4a in the 1st round.    ;D
2. Starts Wednesday at 7pm.  Should be a good series.
3. San Fran blew the Cards out 9-0 to move onto the WS.  Great comeback in the series by the Giants.
4. Cutting a tourney from basketball and baseball really sucks.  I always enjoyed watching those.
5. The Giants win to force a game 7.  They have Matt Cain going tomorrow.  Winner gets a trip to the WS to face Detroit.
6. The Giants are roughing up Carpenter and lead 5-0 after 4.  The Giants are trying to force a game 7 with a win tonight.
7. John Farrell acquired in a trade with Toronto.  The Sox threw in a case of beer and a box of sunflower seeds for good measure.  :D [Hidden Content]
8.
Vidor is in the playoffs with a victory over png for homecoming.
Not necessarily. They can't clinch a playoff berth without help.  There are still ways they could end up in a 3 way tie.
9.
It would be a coin toss because ozen beat central but ozen lost to lcm and central beat lcm. and lcm beat ozen but lost to central. So a coin toss.
No coins will be tossed, unless there is a hurricane or some other natural disaster that cancels some games.  Head to head then point differential are the first 2 tie breakers.  Not sure about the 3rd one.
10.
Who would get in with three teams at 3-4
The scenerio mytwocents just predicted it would come down to point differential between the 3 teams tied since they all beat each other.  Central- Ozen(-20) Ozen- Central(+20) LC-M(-6) LC-M- Ozen(+6) I believe the district rule is that only 17 points count in the difference no matter how bad you win.  If Central blows out LC-M by more than 17 that would put them at 0.  Ozen gets in the playoffs in that scenario with a +14 point spread.
11. Team                 Record                        Remaining games Nederland            4      0                      Ozen, @ Lum, Central Vidor                  3      1                      PN-G, Liv, @ LC-M Livingston            3      1                      Central, @ Vidor, PN-G LC-M                    2      2                      Lumberton, @ Central, Vidor Central                  2      2                    @ Livingston, LC-M, @ Ned Ozen                    1    3                    @ Nederland, @ PN-G, Lum PN-G                    1    3                      @ Vidor, Ozen, @ Liv Lumberton              0    4                    @ LC-M, Ned, @ Ozen Who gets in?  LC-M seems to have the easiest path.  Central vs. LC-M could be for a playoff berth in 2 weeks, but they both need to win this week first.
12.
Are there any "clinch if win" scenarios this week?
Nederland can clinch a playoff berth with a win in one of their last 3 games.  The district title probably won't be decided until the last week.

16.
You may be able to make the playoffs by just beating LCM, but both those 2 wins would make you a lock.  Vidor fans should all be rooting for the Jags from here on out.  We want the #1 seed in Div2.  But we have to beat Livingston to make that happen.  Good luck to the Jags!
That is the truth.  Vidor would avoid a 1st round matchup with Dayton or Summer Creek if Central can make the playoffs.
17. That is at least Nederland's 5th pick 6 on the year.
18. I'm on the road to College Station for the game tomorrow.  Someone please keep us updated

20. The Yanks are done!  I think I can hit as good as A-Rod right now for only half of the price.  ;D
21.
Hate the 4 teams advancing particularly in districts that have 6 teams or less. Heck, if this starts next season, then 4 of the 5 teams in 20-3A (Carthage, Center, Diboll, Huntington and Jasper) will advance to playoffs. That's ridiculous!! Also saw where they will be voting on limiting basketball and baseball to 2 tourneys (not 3) and 21 total games played before playoffs. Do not like that and not sure coaches will like that as well.
Does it really save that much money by cutting out a tournament?  I don't get the UIL
22. Detroit wins 2-1 to take a 3-0 series lead!  1 win away from the WS
23. Verlander has given up 2 hits and 0 runs through 8 innings and he gets to go home to Kate Upton.  Man life isn't fair!
24. I have a strategy question about Faircloth.  He has always had the philosophy that no one will play both ways.  This may work at a big school with tons of players, but shouldn't you try to get your best athletes on the field?  I know Nederland has at least 4 guys that play both ways and some others that rotate in.  Vidor does the same.  I was told that PN-G currently only has 15 guys that play defense.  That is no where near enough bodies and depth IMO and is a big reason they give up so many points. Any thoughts on this?  Is Faircloth just being hardheaded and not adapting?  I personally would try to have my best athletes on the field at all times, but what do I know.
