I will say that if the current Texas legislature gets their way, both schools will see their numbers go down. They are more interested in increased enrollment and increasing revenue than the quality of education. Hopefully they don't turn these schools into diploma mills.

I did read most of it. No one has challenged the GOR as of now, maybe Texas will be the 1st. No conference will take a team without TV rights, so that will be a big obstacle to overcome. They should get Joe Jamial on that immediately.

I believe Vince scored a 6 and somehow got a degree from Texas. Supposedly he has a job making $100k a year to be an ambassador to the university. Anything to keep their hero from living on the streets. Taxpayer money well spent!

The SEC members would have to vote Texas in and they have an agreement that will vote down any new teams who's state is already represented. Texas wouldn't have enough votes to get in no matter how much money they think they will contribute. To you other point about all of the other conferences coming calling, what happened last time? I believe no conference wanted Texas due to the LHN. Am I wrong about that?

I am willing to bet any amount you can come up with, that more people will watch the very 1st game on the SEC Network than have ever watched any single game on LHN. Hell it maybe close if you combine all of the LHN games vs the A&M/ South Carolina game.

That's where the conference and TV deals come in. The Big 12 games on Fox are shown regionally in only a handful of states. The CBS SEC games are shown nationwide. You can't put a price on the exposure A&M has gotten by being in the SEC and playing in front of the entire country.

Do you watch every channel on your tv? 95 million subscribers at launch isn't too bad for the SEC, especially considering there are 115 millions homes in the country with tv's. A&M basketball has been pretty terrible under Kennedy, but I would still be surprised if they were losing players to Lamar without some extenuating circumstances.

I don't know. I saw the videos from A&M camp and they didn't have logos on their helmets. Sumlin must have lost control and is trying to gain it back by making the players earn their ATM on their helmets. No word on whether Sumlin is letting them do the Thumbs Up Gig Em sign or if they have to earn that too.
