From what I’m reading, they got the call correct. It’s a timing play not a force. As long as run scored before they tagged 2nd, then the run counts.

I was under the impression that since the runner on second failed to tag up properly, that out became a force situation and the timing of the lead runner crossing the plate didn't matter.
