Eastern Kentucky coach must have something against the other team. Hard to justify a 49-1 victory in college baseball.

Nederland has had trouble with the bats all year. If Hester is dealing, it could be a long night for the Dogs. This should a low scoring game that could come down to defense. Dogs win 2-1

Curently at 4 under & tied for the lead.

Good list. Keep it updated. I think you may hear from the Buna fans on having them 3rd.
-
The best thing about my list is that we will get to watch two of them pitch again next year.

Matt Hicks. Nate S. from West Brook would have been a close 2nd before the arm injury. Kirby Bellow is also in the discussion, imagine what he could do if he wasn't throwing a few hundred passes a day in spring football.

I would go for a 1A - 2A list like football, since the question will never be answered on the field.
Admin has said on here before that if someone was willing to come up with a small school top 10 he would post on this thread. As for the comment "the question will be answered on the field," I believe it was answered last year when Nederland's JV team knocked out your all-state pitcher in the 2nd inning. Not trying to knock Evadale, just saying that it is difficult for smaller schools to compete with 4a and 5a schools.
-
I would think that the Evadale Rebels could get into the top 10 with a 9-2-1 record (6-0) in district having scored over 80 runs in those six games. Monday they mercy ruled Big Sandy 10-0 and on Wednesday the mauled Leggett 22-1.
Hitting and pitching are strengths this year for the Rebels and I believe that they should be able to get a nod into the top 10.
I really don't think Evadale could compete with any of these teams in the Top 10. They have a good 1A team but as far as Top 10 teams in the area, I don't think so.

Kellogg was wild early but got outs when he needed to. WO-S left the bases loaded in the 1st and 2 runners on on the 2nd. He settled down after that and breezed through the next 2 innings. Maybe he had a case of the nerves in his first start for BC. Overall he looked to be another dominant pitcher to go along with Hicks.
-
Kirby Bellow is another one that's off to a good start in district. He has 3 straight complete game victories with 37 K's in 21 innings.

He finished -1 to make the cut on the number. Good job Chris settling down after that 8.
