I think eventually the writers will realize that most of the players of this era were using, and still take the very best and induct them into the HOF. Bonds, McGwire, and Sosa made the HR records almost meaningless, but still they were a big part of baseball history and need to be recognized. McGwire didn't even come close to getting enough votes the first few times. It will be interesting to see what happens with Bonds and Sosa.

I think it is 2/4 and 1/3. I'm not really sure how they decide who plays who. My Freshman year we played Coppell(region 2), Jr. year we played Fort Worth Boswell(region 1) and Sr. year we played Calallen(region 4). I thought they seeded the teams and played #1 seed/#4 seed and #2 seed/#3 seed, but thats been over 10 years ago, and it may different now.

Oswalt looked good last night, giving up 1 run in 7 innings. He would return the highest value in a trade right now, but I think the Astros would be better off keeping him. #1 starters are hard to come by, and he's been that for the last few years. Tejada probably won't resign next year, so get what you can for him now. Lee could be a good addition to an AL team looking for a hitter at the deadline. Maybe Boston would be a good fit, if Ortiz keeps hitting below the Mendoza line. They need to bring in some young talent to go along with Berkman & Pence.

#1 Corpus Christi Moody vs. #2 Corpus Christi Calallen face off in the Region IV Final. These teams have been ranked #1 & #2 in the state all year and are both ranked in the top 5 in the nation. Between them they have won 3 of the last 4 state titles, and a lot of people are saying the winner of this series will win another state title. I bet there is one local team that isn't ready to just hand over the title to the winner of this series.
