Is Draper now at 100%? Without him, no way the Cards continue. With him, they can keep the game close. This is not a good match up for BC because of Stafford's style of play. Stafford is a little better than BC, but I hope BC can pull the upset.

Draper is 200% :) when asked what he wants for Christmas ."all I want is a .State Championship my Senior year" Go cards!!!

We didn't get to play spoilers tonight, BC came in very focused and disciplined in their attack. Thought the game would have been closer but 5 turnovers can get a game lopsided in a hurry. In Huffman fashion though we did slip in that onside kick with a great recovery by my nephew #5. Good luck to BC in the playoffs, even with my team sitting at home I'll be supporting 10 4a.

It's been a rough season for my Falcons but I fully expect them to regroup and work hard in the off-season. There is some good young talent coming up and we should be in the mix next year. As for me, tonight was it. The last of my 3 Falcons put on the red and white for his final high school football game. It's been a great run but now I plan to move my seat off the 50 and head up to the Falcon's Nest with the old timers and talk about how we did it back in the day. God bless.

what are you feeding those guys over there???? :) they are HUGE!  (several)

I know it might be impossible, but lets try to keep this thread from not getting locked

With the addition of a new HC and some transfers, I think Silsbee wins the district.

    1. Silsbee

    2. Navasota

    3. Huffman

    4. Bridge City

    5. LCM

    6. Cleveland

There were SEVERAL who had BC way on down the line..... welll?????? BC 4-0     GO BIG RED!!!!!

BC clinched a piece of the championship and the #1 seed, I believe. If BC did end up losing next week and Silsbee won, they'd be tied at 4-1 each and BC would hold the #1 seed because Silsbee's lone loss would be to BC.

    i heard first D.C.  in 14 years, but I don't know if that's accurate.

    Last BC District Champ..... 2002

Based on history, you'd have to think Navasota.  It seems like Navasota isn't "Navasota" this year. With that and a long ride on the big yellow dog for the Rattlers, I'll pick BC.

We just have to refocus after that emotional win over Silsbee.  We also need to ignore all of the senior night garbage thats planned for Friday. It's not over yet, and we can't overlook anybody.

I happen to believe "all the Senior Night Garbage" will indeed PUMP up a team that happens to have 26 SENIORS on it! Congratulations BC SENIORS on an EXCELLENT season!

This game didn't disappoint.  After halfway through the second half, u know the last team with the ball would win. Couple of thoughts...

Drapper is an animal and is hard to bring down and #5 for BC has deceptive wheels.

Silsbee's speed was on display...  Tyler, Lowe, Barnes, and Jones.

Big play for the BC WR catching on the district's best CB like that (Newton).

Next time you play a wing-t team, you gotta hit the runners hard and make them 'tippytoe' throught the hole...Silsbee's second to last drive, more clock should've been.  I was telling people around me that.  Run 2 stupid dives with the fullback 1st and 2nd down.  Then run a good play in 3rd down.

Second to last drive for Silsbee, one play , Jones needed to stay inbounds and he ran out of bounds.  Gotta keep your head  in the game, Son.

In the second quarter, the BC rb ran out of bounds with 45 seconds left.  Clock mysteriously kept running untill it was to 20 seconds.  Clock is supposed to stop when out of bounds, right?  Refs huddle, come back, and no extra time on the clock.  But on that same drive, silsbee get a holding call with 0 seconds left, but you DO put 1 second back on the clock...  Smh

The blatant pass interference in the first half half on the deep pass to Barnes...  No call.  Horrible.

Tyler averaged almost 10 ypc all year and this game was no exception.  You score that 2 points.  Downturn coach not hear us all. Scream go for 2?  You score there, you force BC to score a TD and worse case scenario, you go to OT.

Our kicking game has been on and off all year....  Why do we trust the kicker with a 36 yard FG with that much pressure?

Barnes' second time this year fumbling after the catch because the ball is held like a loaf of bread.

I wonder if the coach knew this game was gonna be a game of possessions?  BC scored last in second half.  You knew they'd get the ball back in the second half...  They did and drove right down and scored.

#5 CB for Silsbee, you're one of the best CB's in the state.  You dint let a no name kid catch that long TD in you.

BC still has Huffman and Navasota left.  Keep grinding and you can share that district title, Tigers...

well said... and we agree on the clock thing... we were on BC side right under the press box and kept SCREAMING at them... BC wasn't happy about the "timekeeper" at ALL... it did not appear consistent... there were HORRIBLE calls on both sides, but from BC it appeared to be leaning Silsbee... ;)  that is the BEST game that BC has played as a TEAM this year.... they meched and EVERYONE did their job... WE NEEDED THAT!!!! Silsbee has NOTHING to hang their heads about... "C" and Cayce Draper started out playing flag football together at the age of 4-5yo.... they have remained very good friends ever since... Draper went over to "C" after the game (knowing C would be upset) and they gave the usual "embrace" and THAT is what it's all about... GREAT HEART, GREAT SPORTSMANSHIP, & GREAT ATHLETES.... This WAS the game of the night (possibly the season) and it was FULL of spirit and heart on both sides... KUDOS TIGERS AND CARDINALS!!!!

How many yards does Draper have on the year?

He has approx 600+...... he has had a tough year... he's only gotten to play 4 games. ..192 first week against HF,  he was in the hospital 2nd week (unrelated to football), then he returned to play WOS (119), then concussion 2nd play of the first quarter against Newton, (79) (out the rest of that game) , then 2 back to back bye weeks....Cleveland (122) LCM (121) He has some ground to make up if he wants to beat his record from '15 .... i have faith :)

No, I has nothing to do with the tweets in social.  It was something totally different.  I retract my statement though. The statement was directed toward another team that we've already played.  If I came off wrong, I apologize...

This Silsbee team has a chip on their shoulder for this one for reasons I won't disclose....  But it'll be a blowout...

    Silsbee 43

    Bridge City - 14

I sure HOPE you're not stirring this back up? This is DONE... this has been dealt with and NO ONE should have a "chip" because of it.... let the kids play BALL.... nothing more....

Wow. That's harsh. Do you even know how much work they put in daily? They start practicing weeks before the football team even shows up. They have so many trophies and awards, they just pile them in a corner of the band hall, seriously. The BC band is well respected in this area as they are just that good. You call yourself "CardinalBacker." I guess you limit which Cardinals you "back," because calling a group of hard working, talented, amazing musicians "Nerd Herd" isn't exactly supportive. What a shame.

Our band has grown exponentially over the past few years. That has presented a problem during 3rd quarter because they're too big and way too loud. Last year it was agreed they would only play while we were on defense. Last year's head drum majors were very in tune with the game and controlled the band accordingly. The game is close, we're on defense, they knew what to have them play and play loud. They knew when to hush them. It worked well.

I don't know what happened this year other than they had almost 150 kids on the track, they were too loud, and were playing at the wrong time. Rather than have a discussion with band leadership and come to a compromise, they were told to shut down 3rd quarter. The band has had a change in leadership this year, new drum majors and different band director. I don't know what has happened, but I have heard from several people that they're too quiet during the game and that's a shame as they do play a crucial part to the vibe of the game. I've only been to one game this season so I can't form an opinion on that. But what I did notice is that even the fans have a different attitude, not as lively as they were last year. What changed?

Anywho....that's my 2 cents worth of rambling. Next time stick around at halftime and enjoy their show. They would appreciate the support.

This is exactly true  and I wish they would revisit this prior to district starting  it's that important   you're also.correct the morale is way down  lots of new leadership and changes  not that they are wrong but definitely different  and it's having a negative impact   very sad for this year's seniors   they lived through 11 years of school to get to this day and place   praying it changes prior to next week's game
