    You are right.

Maud to Teague to Mesquite Poteet to Hull Daisetta to Mount Vernon to Winnsboro

Heck of a coach everywhere he has been, like Johnny Cash, he's been everywhere

Average stay is like two seasons........ that screams “lets get him”..

Finney's star got bright turning around Teague and then going to Hull Daisetta and got a couple of winning seasons. Kinda disappeared quickly after that because he couldn't sit still. Dude bounces around a lot...

Wasn’t Finney at Maud before Teague? Had a good run their with the three TCU commits.

The conversation in question.. (the one I was in), was comparing Coach Briles to his predecessor implying that because Briles had won state titles previously that he was automatically a better coach.  But actually, no.   My opinion on what makes a good coach is someone that gets the most out of their players or more.  I think that wins/losses is a fraction of what makes someone good.  I personally think some of the best coaches to have ever lived have never won a championship.  It's easy to win with better players than the team you're playing against.

    Everyone’s intitled to their opinion.

I see in 4a DII,  that they have Carthage in region II away from our local teams.

In 5a DI, I see in region III, there are Houatin, Austin, AND San Antonio area teams...

6a, CE King with the Aldine schools?

And in 1-5a DI, there is a THREE team district?   WTH?

I still see Carthage in region 3..

But u had two Houston teams in it so sounds to me like Houston didnt show up. Here is my thoughts on it out of both areas people with no ties to any team more locals show up in Dallas then Houston

I agree with this as well. Random fans from across the state aren’t jumping up and down saying they get to go to Houston was watch the title games.

Houston area schools always have to travel... give them a bone and let them get a major game in their back yard.

It’s not just about the Houston schools. Your idea would have a West Texas/Panhandle team playing a Texarkana team in Houston.

Numbers in football are a bigger deal then in basketball and any other sport. there are 33 positions to fill opposed to basketballs 5.
In basketball a team could play 7 games in a week (playing a tournament and a game on tuesday.  In football physically you can play 1 game a week.
And Yes, money plays a role, but the system is a fair system.

    33?
