1. So if Boutte coached in PA before he left to go to Desoto and Spring wouldn't that make him local? As well as graduating from Ozen? I'm very confused on what constitutes a coach being local.
 2. Where is he from? Congrats to Coach Sterling and the Cards.
 3. I think it's kind of unique that Coach Paul has helped Central make it as far they have the last two years and also helped coach some of the Ozen players that made it to state this year when they were 9th and 10th graders. I also believe that Coach Paul did learn and Coach under Coach Andre Boutte. Coach Paul is more than qualified and I would like to wish him the best of luck.
 4. they be outside the circle after 1st round also. Atleast they were in the first round! Lol
 5. Based upon the lack of Coaches and Coaching that is about to be at Ozen in 2013 and the new coach's track record, he will never see that class graduate.  That is if all of those young men actually attend Ozen.
 6. Word is Central beat Hamshire Fannett by three TD's and beat West Brook 27-0.  I was also told that Central's JV beat WB's JV 20-0.  Things appear to be rolling in Jaguar Country.  I don't read much into 7 on 7 though.
 7.
To be so good, ole Toby has traveled around a lot.  :-\ ??? Overrated?
Foreman was at WOS for 9 years and left after Coach Hooks retired and Thompson got the job.  Since then he was at Texas High (8-3 District Champs) and LaMarque (11-2 Regional Semi-Finalists) the only team to give Navasota a challenge.  I quess if that equals overrated then he is overrated.  By the way, H-D's Coach was at Maud, Teague, North Mesquite, and H-D in a five year span, just saying?

James Brown...just feel he'd be a good fit. Jonathan Cooper...comes from a winning program. Kevin Goodwin...took nothing and made it into something. Marcus Graham...Central ties. Tim Green...comes from a winning program. That would be the 5 I'd interview.
With all due respect to Mr. Green and Mr. Cooper-- Green was just a position coach at WO-S and Cooper was a freshman coach. I don't even know if James Brown is a certified teacher. He has just coached at private schools and college.
I would have to agree with bobbymcgee on this one.  Tim Green has been at WOS for one semester as a position coach.  James Brown was a great football player, but is not even a certified teacher in the state of Texas.  You might want to do some research on why Cooper is only a freshman football coach.  Just my opinion, but Goodwin and Graham are the cream of the crop on this list.
 9.
Well, its hard for me to see the DC from Plano East coming.  He will be leaving awesome facilities - indoor practice fields, large weight room etc.  Its a little different down in East Texas, community is not so eager to dish out money. As for Taylor, its a maybe, just be careful when coming back to your home town. I always hear Foreman's name, he moves around a lot in my opinion every year he applies for these jobs.  How many years of coordinator experience does he have ??? Dayton OC, I would not count him out just yet? Speights, well its interesting, he is the most consistent.  He has been in several places for years as a coordinator and has had some success with helping kids.  He hasn't always coached the best team's record but he's under the radar in my opinion.  So when is the next board meeting?
I don't know a lot about the plano east dc or Speights but I know Taylor and Foremen have done quality jobs as coordinaters at WOS and LaPorte. I have seen there teams in person and they are great quality coaches. I don't think it is always a bad thing to go back home and coach. As far as Foreman moving around, he was at WOS for I think 9 years and was a finalist for the WOS, West Brook, and Giddings jobs. I have also heard that liberty has been narrowed to three candidates, but I can't confirm that.
 10. I have heard that the last of the first round interviews will be tomorrow.
 11. Silsbee on paper will definately be the favorite, but that is why you play the games.
 12. With my ear to the street, I have also heard look for an announcement out of Central come Monday.  Coach Washington great guy and great career at Central.
 13. Speaking of money, that may be a factor in the overall outcome.  It would be hard to believe that someone would leave a 4A or 5A coordinator job to make the same or less money.  From what I have been told the Head Coaching pay will not be much, but even more important the assistants and coordinators make little of nothing.  So in my opinion, this decision will have to do with not just who the HC is, but who the HC will be able to bring to the table for his staff.  Trust me that is a VERY BIG DEAL!  JMO
 14.
Would Thomas Brooks be interested in this job? It seems to make sense since he grew up in this area  and has had much success.
There is ABSOLUTELY ZERO CHANCE that Thomas Brooks would ever come back to bisd.
 15. The teams in Region III Division II will be tough next year.  WOS, LaMarque, and Coldspring will all be Division II again next year.  This will be a very tough region again.
 16.
Well, right now Lancaster, JT, Desoto and Houston Lamar(despite them being on Westheimer) are still in the mix...... [/quo Houston Lamar is the only inner city school.  John Tyler is one of three schools in Tyler, and they share Tyler Rose Stadium with Lee. Desoto and Lancaster are south of I-20 and both have unbelievable facilities.
 17. They were neccesary, but you would not have pushed for them is what I am assuming from your last statement.  That is the difference between the rest of the state and SETX.
 18. You did not answer my question 77.  Do you think that WOS made a bad investment on there new elementary and track and LCM on there jumbo?
 19. I do apologize if I come across as being rude in my last few statements.  I am very passionate about this topic.  Chris17 you are correct.  WOS does have a huge stadium, and I they definately need upgrades on the stadium size.  My point would be a football program like WOS with all that tradition, in my opinion would make since if they got field turf.  Regardless of the situation in the town, if the administration and community supported it and had a plan, it would be doable.

Giant video board not needed!jmo
Once again, OFCOURSE ITS NOT NEEDED, but wouldn't it be a nice upgrade to get say field turf.  Did you think the track was needed?
Sure it would but my point is that the places that are building these big complexes are booming
WOS has to have the largest 3a stadium in the state of Texas
What does WOS having a large stadium have to do with this topic?
