Yeah I wonder who will start at QB for WB next week. The Aubry kid came in and directed 3 unanswered TD's in the last Quarter and a half. With this kid in there it seems as if every player on offense immeadiately got a step faster. It was exciting to watch.

Change at QB in the 2nd half made the difference

they were down by 20 I believe.

Agree and disagree. How about a kid elects to go to West Brook because Ozen is a under performing school. The kid plays basketball, football, etc. The kid is being raised by a single mom who works evenings. This kid either has to find a friend or he's stuck out. That's all I'm saying. I don't know how many it affects to be honest. I just thought it was a nice thing when I was in school and kids from the southend were taken home after practice on a bus. Take a kid from Central that might live out off of Bigner or out where the Palace use to be. Those kids are really in trouble unless someone steps up and brings them home after practice. This only is directed towards families where the parent or parents work evenings and can't get there not the lazy parents.
and since we have a lot of shift workers in this town to boot...this will take some getting use to. This service has been in place since at least the merger of the 2 districts in 1982. The current parents of school age children have never known of any other way. But they will adjust and find a way because these kids want play and participate.

More parents will elect to or not to transfer their kids from their zoned school if there are family transportation restraints. Some Central and West Brook attendance zones are in walking distance of Ozen .

There is a young man from Silsbee (now plays for Lamar, and a lineman at that - big boy) that rode his bike to school in the summer so he wouldn't miss his time in the weight room. He lives about 6-8 miles north of town...he would ride in - work out - then ride the 6-8 miles back home........and that was within "Today's environment" - then again, I know this kids parents well, and a handout or "making it easy" or whatever the excuse is doesn't fly with them - just saying!
He wasn't a 13 year old girl cheerleader.

He was not rated a 5* quarterback.
He may have been a 3* when he signed.
Stars will not matter this weekend...its next man to man up. Now is the time to prove himself.

I made the same mistake earlier in the week. Parents are supposed to defend their kids against Adults to a certain extent. That's why I apologized. Though I thought I did anything wrong, the kids Father felt disrespected, so as a Father I had to put myself in his shoes & see his perspective. I reacted the Wrong way, I don't want my Son to handle his Business in that manner. I had to step up & right a wrong; even though I felt as if I had no ill intent. Laws accepted my apology & we have moved on. People are watching my actions & comments, so if I don't condone certain things, I have an obligation to be a man of my word & practice what I preach. I'm only speaking of myself because I can only control me.
God Bless & good luck to both TeamsNice post
