2. Butler will win Monday regardless of who wins this next game.
 3. One down (Butler won) one to go---UK
 4.

Well, given the candidates left, I'd go with Skelton first, then Knight, but I don't think Bubba is even on the shortlist.  While I don't like that Knight hasn't won, I also have to be honest--Lubbock has got to be about the most difficult place on the planet to recruit basketball players to.  It's a medium-sized town in the middle of absolutely nowhere; it's virtually all white, and football will always be king there.  It can't be easy to recruit talent there--especially when your opposition are the likes of Kansas and Texas. The Southland ain't the Big XII, that's for sure.  If Knight can run a program, I think he'd have a good chance of success here.  Of the rest of the guys, I don't think Sutton is actually in the running at all because of the legalities; Cyprien bothers me because of the whole resume thing at USL, and I'll admit I don't really know much at all about Monarch or Seltzer. Frankly, I'm glad that Evans was honest/loud-mouthed enough to make it clear he really didn't want to be here, and his heart is in Oklahoma.  I think he'd have been a fine coach--his resume was very impressive, but if he really doesn't want to be here, we're probably better off without him--he'd have left the first chance he had to upgrade, anyway. As far as excuses, UNLV, there are none.  This is still an awful conference, with three or four schools that shouldn't even be Division I.  Any good coach, given decent recruiting abilities, should be able to win given the advantages in facilities, funding, and fan base that LU has over most of the Southland.
Lubbock has got to be about the most difficult place on the planet to recruit basketball players to.  It's a medium-sized town in the middle of absolutely nowhere; it's virtually all white hmm..sounds like Kansas!
The reason why people go to KU is because of the tradition plus they get to the tournament every year. TT doesnt have a real history on the bball court. Knight never had a chance to be successful at Tech when Daddy Knight left.
 5. I got UK and Butler winning tonight.
 6. hope all of them got thrown in jail. I hate the [s]Lakers[/s] aka the Fakers

 9. i'll say this, being a defensive coach at Baytown Lee not a dream job as coaching a WO-S D if the position opens up in the next 3-5 years  :o ;) im just saying, throwing it out there ***i dont mean to offend other WO-S fans with this statement***
 10.
I disagree. I think (hope) the two have enough respect for each other to be able to continue to work together once the choice is made. I also think (hope) they would both be satisfied that the position was filled from within. And if there is any resentment it would not be towards each, maybe towards the decision makers but not each other.
I was thinking something bout this as i got off work but im not gonna lay it on here. Grad check your PMs
 11.
they do some dumb things over there and getting rid of the last coach is the latest. briggs before that and beat goes on. maybe the pissed dad school board member should take the job and get it over with. they have some chumps over there on the board and have not had a steady coach since weldon.
:o

There is more than one QB on campus.
I doubt Stump doesnt start at QB. if not why wasnt this QB the real back up to Reyes last year?
I agree with THAT statement, scooter! I'd love to be suprised at who ends up playing QB next year. Stump will earn my utmost respect if he starts someone else over his son, for the sake of who gives us the best chance of winning. What I'm saying is, start the best person for the job.......not the person who is somehow "entitled" to the position.
This kid will take the job. The first chance this kid gets into the game it will be no turning back unless you want to destroy the team. The key here is that this kid needs to get his opportunity for all to see.
who is this wiz kid?
 13.
[Hidden Content] The superintendent said a lot of coaches, particularly in the Dallas area, would love to come to West Orange-Stark to help their careers. They can come here, win a couple of championships and then go to a 5-A school, he said. That's not the kind of person he wants. He's leery of anyone who calls and asks about apartments. He wants a person who becomes part of the community. Gary Stelly asked about the current offensive coordinator, Toby Foreman, and defensive coordinator Cornell Thompson, who both have applied. Stelly said one is older, with lots of experience, and the other is younger. "Age-color. None of that has anything to do with it. I want to win," he said. The new superintendent is a former University of Texas long jumper and was All-Southwest Conference. He also served as track and field team captain at the university and has coached.
He seems like he knows what he's doing.
That means they should be in Texas ALOT!
Not if they want to do it on Sunday.
What do you bet the UIL will change their rules if this happens?
Well, Fox Sports has shown the UIL enough money to make them change their ways in the past!
true.
I bet Toby gets it. Longevity. and coach T stays on as the DC but works with Toby on a Co-Head Coach type of thing.
Grad, I assume you're referring to the one concerning Mr. Colbert's selection process.  Yeah, I had a good feeling on that one, too.  Did you also read Van Wade's endorsement of Coach T?  Van Wade is THE MAN!  Scooter, what do you mean clustering "Toby" and "longevity"?  Compared to Cornel Thompson, Toby has not been there very long.  His dad, Mark Foreman, has been there almost as long as Cornel.  Maybe you're confusing the two Foremans. The best scenario would be for Cornel to take the reigns as AD/HC and Toby continue to grow and develop as an offensive coordinator.  Toby bleeds blue and silver.  He will (and SHOULD) be the best candidate to become HC at WO-S in the future.  Cornel Thompson is the best candidate to lead the program now.
Toby is younger.  :)
