Heck of a game, but our defense stepped up and pulled it out. 21-17 to finish our regular season at 10-0. We got cocky in the playoffs and got beat by Aldine MacArthur. Sure thought we were going to bring that trophy home. It was televised and about 20k folks there. Back when only two schools in Beaumont. Oh the memories. Texas City, Dawson and GCM seem obvious in District 24. But of the other four, I'm not sure who would knock Friendswood out of the fourth spot. So they may make the playoffs more out of default than anything. 24-4A is not the region power that it has been the past three years.
