Looks like you are a bitter person (probably an ex administrator, or the wife) that dogs on Kirbyville (no matter what the sport) whenever you get the chance. No matter what the outcome it's still better than Buna ended up.
Touchy, touchy. Just an observant fan who was surprised to see Kirbyville not claim 2 easy victories. Good luck against Leon.

Looks like Kirbyville really struggled with a 4 seed.....

I guess this will have to wait for another year since the Lady Cougars 10 run ruled the Wildcats again. Good luck next year!

Was the game in Kirbyville or Kountze?

Great job Lady Cougars! Keep pushing for a district championship.

Pour it on Lady Cougars!!

I know it's early in the year, but shouldn't pitchers who didn't play basketball be ready to go the whole game? I think this is a copout that many people use when pitchers make mistakes in the early part of the season.

Buna wins 33-26

They won by about 20 or so....

Buna wins 70-36!!

Buna is 5-2 (losses to EC and Hardin).

Buna dominated from start to finish on their way to a 64-14 win. Great job Lady Cougars!!

Kirbyville must really stink!!! I think they are averaging about 21 ppg.

I supposed I was fed a ton of bad information this past Friday. A guy told me they were only losing 2 on the line and a WR. I had no clue they were Senior heavy. Now, I have heard that EC has 25 + Seniors this year. Interesting.
Yes, EC is also losing a ton of players due to graduation. The district should be interesting for the next couple of years.

like I said, Kirby & EC both will not get out of the area. They are good but not exactly ready for DFW/east Texas playoff football...Kirby is going to be even better next year.
How in the world will Kirbyville be better next year? They are losing 4 of the 5 starting offensive lineman, QB, top receiver and another RB. Thy will have Ty Dennis and Devin Tyler to go along with the Fentress kid at QB. Defensively, they are losing about 6 or 7 starters to graduation and one will transfer.....according to my people. Plus, their JV is terrible. They should enjoy their reign at the top because it is coming to an end this year.

Disappointing sign of sportsmanship displayed by Kirbyville tonight at their bonfire. They burned a dummy dressed in blue/gray to symbolize a Buna coach/player. I know they are upset about losing their key to the city (lost every varsity game against Buna on the boys side last year) but this is extremely tasteless and leaves me smh.

Disappointing year for the Wildcats!! Too much talent to finish in 4th place and lose in the 1st round.

Easy answer....Kirbyville is a football town. Always has been, always will. Even though Coach Neece does an excellent job of supporting and promoting other sports, the community, on the whole, only cares about football and it seems to affect the other sports.
