Congrats to GCM Volleyball for making the playoffs for the 4th straight year under Coach Mulryan-Veen and staff. Their hard work is appreciated and I look forward to seeing how they do against the heavily favored BH Eagles. Lee College should be a great atmosphere! Go Pats!  

Friendswood wins in 4.  First set they have lost in district play. Crosby came out on fire, was up in the first set but a certain rotation just couldnt hold up and Friendswood took advantage.  Crosby won the 2nd set and seemed to lose energy as the match went on.

Interesting that Goose Creek Memorial has beaten North Shore and Crosby the last 2 weeks but doesn’t make an appearance in your top 15.

It went about how I expected. I almost kinda laughed out loud a few times.  Before it even started there were a few talking about how Katy has 70-75 kids on their sidelines suited up. 1st we are not katy lol.
Another one was how great WOS is and they are small and all that. And they are great year in and year out with about 25 kids on the sideline.  We are not WOS.
Another lady said that all teams need to be the same from the freshman to the JV to the Varsity.  I guess that goes along with the everyone gets a ribbon for playing these days. If all 3 levels were the same then whats the point of having a goal to play varsity sports. Lets start giving out Letterman jackets to the freshman teams now.
I did say that we needed a coach that would not only take care of GCM and get the kids out playing that are walking the hall ways but some one who will also get his feeder schools in line. Yes high school is high school but it starts at the Jr High level. Got to get those kids motivated and looking forward to continuing some thing at the next level.

All football parents should have been there...from Middle school up.

I am a subscriber to the online version of the Baytown Sun, and read it everyday. I too just read about it the day before the meeting. Perhaps this should of been sent out as an automated phone message like they do for so many other things in the district. 

After seeing everyone in 22 5A play, and no one in 21 5A play, I will go with the sweep once again this year for district 21. Their overall strength of schedule will payoff once the playoffs start. 

back then if I wasnt near TJ id be in El Vista or Port Acres, I graduated from SFA. 

Here's my plan:
Combine all three high schools. Use RSS and GCM as 9th-10th and 11th-12th grade campuses. Turn REL into a CTE, STEM, and Health Science campus (Existing Academies).

Nederland has trouble with multiple threat speed teams in my opinion. A running QB that has good backs and a WR weapon gives us fits. I think GCM has the overall speed edge and for some reason they don't have the miscues against the Dogs that they seem to have vs. other teams. It's all about match ups. Even if we escaped with a win tonight, I feel it would have been a bit lucky. I thought GCM outplayed us in every phase of the game except kicking. We were extremely flat as well. Credit to the GCM players and coaching staff for a well played ballgame. Keep your head up, Dogs. You are never as good or as bad as your last ballgame.

They match up with nederland well. Makes me wonder why they don't win more dist games. They have rral good athletes and play inconsistent. When they are on, they are hard to beat.

I would have traded our entire season for the victory over nederville. 

i saw the crowd just now, looked like Ned brought about 150 when they panned the camera out. Not exactly packing the house either.

It was a heck of a game for our defense. Other then the long run on some broken tackles in the 1st qrt we made a lot of solid tackles. It was beautiful watching #77 pancake #70 and a few other Bulldogs on more then one occasion.   Good game GCM Boys. 
On a side note #7 for Ned played a heck of a game.  Hope he is ok.
