There were another 10 pass completions that only totaled 45 yards. 32 rushing attempts for 100 even. You've been saying all week how bad Chanelview's defense was after seeing them. What happened other than a couple of lineman missing? If all they had was Hurts how do you feel Williams and Brantley, who threw for over 300 in the opener, will fare?
I hope y'all win but if Nederland comes in and beats Dayton this week I think you're probably looking at a 5-5 regular season like '13
 

no need to preach .2, they are much better than last year's team.  Crosby got to be one of the front runners for the region... But Ned just served notice to 22-5A... The 4 time defending champs will NOT go quietly into the night.

Coogs definitely have a high ceiling, but Nederland showed a LOT defensively tonight.  Tackled well and didn't give up many big plays.  Offensively, Ned got to see a very, very good defense and adjusted as the game went on.  LeBaron had a good game and will only get better from the experience of playing g in a real game against that speed.  Fisher looks to be an emerging weapon, Mayfield played great and got dinged up or would've had a big r night offensively. Great start for both teams.  Crosby will be a tough.out, they are HUGE by LARGE with huge receivers and tons of speed.

Nederland always tough. Crosby needs to settle down though.

Behind Texas' favorite spectacle are the coaches who make the teams tick and tock. At least 64 public schools in the Greater Houston area pay professionals to teach high school boys to throw and tackle, and keep the competition tough in Texas.

With the attention football draws, it may not be surprising that the area's highest-paid coach rakes is more than PRICELESS a year. Even the lowest earner makes $70,000. Still not bad. Across the area, the average public high school head football coach makes $92,887, although some districts pay their coaches more than others like Crosby cannot put a cap on their guys worth and Nederland seems to be in store Friday night just to see how worthy they are.
