About a week ago

On the topic of Cole and Dre I was curious as to when they would be back. I did a little digging and found the that Kountze's reporting period ended on February 12th, not making Cole and Dre ineligible until February 19th. Making the earliest day they could return, 3 weeks, being March 11th at 3:30. Just FYI

Yeah that region I feel is a toss up like Region III.

I believe the state tourney will be Brownfield, Red Oak Life, Kountze/East Chambers, and Aransas Pass.

Without Dre and Cole they are not! Still very good, but they are not the same team. Kountze fans will even tell you that. Even with Cole and Dre, IMO Brownfield, Van Alstyne, and Red Oak Life are the best.

I can tell you this EC is not even looking at Saturday, Friday's game is their only priority. Can't play Saturday if you don't show up on Friday!

If this scenario does work out, I hope the two players are back. It would still be a win, if in fact this did happen and we beat Kountze not saying we will, but everyone would still hold the two previous games over our heads because they were at full strength for them.

Our 8th grade played them in the Jasper JH tournament, that kid is a freak of an athlete!

Should be a very hard fought game, I feel the difference will be EC's guards vs Frankston's guards. The pressure will be a big factor, and rebounding. Still think EC pulls away, they are playing their best ball of the season right now, and don't show signs of slowing down.

I know a guy who knows a little something about Frankston (son plays in same district). He said they are just a solid team, and that they play hard. Give me EC in a hard fought game by 5-10. Think the full court pressure will be the difference in the game. He said they just have average guard play.

EC has a very bright future with the players coming up! The 8th grade group has more talent than I've seen an EC class have, and they are very unselfish for the talent level. The freshman group this year is very solid with #21 Davis being the future of EC, he will be very good in the years to come! Look to see a lot from him the next few years.

Whitmire is a very underrated coach! His kids always play hard, and are always prepared. Good luck to Buna!
