Same old song and dance. I've said this before about our SETX teams. Everybody from Woodville was tooting their horn about how good they were. I told them last year and this year too. When you get our of this area and play good teams that run the spread and can stretch the field you can't compete. Yoe proved it last year, Rockdale this year, it's sad but true. Until we get one of our teams that has a good balanced attack and minimal 2 way players, this trend will continue.

Woodville hasn't faced a passing team this year, but triple that, you're hilarious 

This is correct when went to state in 2010 we were led by QB Alfred Scott a sophomore.  I will not make any excuses everything you said is true.  The one thing which has changed in Coldspring is with the coach involvement with the students outside of sports.  Coach Mark Byrd has initiated a stricter regime for the football players that make them accountable for the actions.  A lot of the kids who are very talented quit the team because they did not want to adhere to the rules.  I think it is awesome that he makes the student-athletes attend tutoring for any subjects they may be lacking.  Also, he talks to the students parents if there is any problems regarding behavioral issues, and what the consequences will be.  The guys are required to have their pants pulled up, shirt tuck in, and belt on.  That is awesome he is instilling values in these young men that will extend beyond football and hopefully help them become productive members of society. 

If Woodville can defend the pass and put pressure on the QB they have a chance, if not its going to be a long night

Buna wasn't supposed to make the playoffs, wasn't supposed to beat Hitchcock. Teague is definitely going to be an extremely tough opponent. They played Malakoff ( who I think is the best team in the Region ) down to the wire. One thing for sure Buna will show up and give it their best effort.

I am excited and happy for the Buna Cougars!!! Congratulations from The Coldspring Trojans and good luck in the area round!!! We will be rooting for you all.  Way to represent the district.

Our district really did an awesome job.  I am really happy for the Kirbyvulle Wildcats.  They are gaining momentum at the right time.  I just want to say to @kcat-fan, I am very happy for your wildcats.  As a Coldspring Trojan, I must saw Kirbyville has always been a tough opponent for us, but you have always personified class, dignity, for one of the Elite 3A teams in this area.

we have had some injuries that are tough and missing two key pieces 
Win Friday night was one for the ages we stopped them on 4-1 at 1 then drive 99 to win it
Region is crazy tough but I think we will have a say but going to be a very tough road

Trinity has the athletes to be tough, but being unprepared, undisciplined, and penalty heavy are not going to help them be successful. Kirbyville wins this one,  won't be close unless the Wildcats are looking ahead a week.

No excuses from this Coldspring Trojan fan!! Buna Cougars wanted it more, they did what it took to secure the win.  Congrats to the Buna Cougars great win!!! The 1st time we ever played you guys but you all brought your A-Game and deserve to win!!!
