Too many jackass comments on here to follow this thread. Only a few "Silsbee" fans were fanning those statements.
WAY TO MUCH CARPET BOMBING.
Thank god the players are humble.
Good Luck to the WOS Mustangs after wasting your time next Friday.
I will not say that this Friday will be a waste of time. I just hope no one gets hurt. I would rather just see the whole team play, than one player get injured.

No way BC stops Newton, even with their big line. Not enough speed.

We are playing these guys on Friday right? I saw the Silsbee thread, but I thought we could discuss these guys. We never over look an opponent I wonder if the weather will cancel this game? Any word if someone will air this game? I bet Kennedale will be scouting this one, or do you guys think that they were at the BC game last week. I have more questions this week than trash talk Ha Ha Ha. Who knows this charter school is pulling from many parts of Houston, they may come to Orange and pay tuff.
With all the trash talking of this team, I hope they play tough!

Lmaoooooo!!!!! I've seen more ppl from WOS bring up Gilmer today on various sites and apps more than I've seen em bring up this game or Silsbee next week. I think there are a few folks overlooking right into Arlington.
Come into Orange and play tuff? Them ppl coming only cause CT feeding em lol
Hey, if Cornel feeds them, more power to him! I'm just proud that this team stepped up. And, don't forget, they can recruit, and may have a sleeper!

For a while it looked like WOS would never find anyone willing to play them to make it a 10 game regular season. I think KIPP deserves a big hand from WOS fans for being there.
KIPP ain't skeered!

Newton will take this one by at least 2 TD's, probably more.

That darn Silsbee messed me up. I sure didn't think they would be able to pull off the win against Jasper.

Aint that the truth!! Dad also remained great friends with Bum through his years of coaching at Houston and New Orleans and was even offered a job coaching with Bum at NO but declined. Those were the days.......
I got to talk to your dad a year or so before he passed. He didn't care for Green anymore than I did. That guy was a joke of a coach. WO went to the quarter finals in 1974, only because of the players. Green lied to his players and and went so far as to not award a deserving young man a jacket, because that kid called him out on his lies.

Early on, Silsbee was reputed to be the tough team behind WOS. Now, it seems that info has to be wrong, because if they are the best team behind WOS, we have NOTHING in our district. I hate that, because it could bite the 'Stangs in the rear end down the road, when they do get to face a tough team. It is anyone's guess if Silsbee will be able to do anything with WOS.

Majestyk, did you get that from Rick Renner? Hey, how did our pick em's turn out?

Good chance the Mustangs get shutout #4 this week, then it gets tougher. I don't believe this is same Houston Kipp that Cuero shutout 63-0 in week 1 however.
I think there are 4 Kipp Academy schools, in the Houston Area,

Reminds me more of a guy named Roy Williams who played for West Orange Chiefs. He would run 99, 100, 102 yard Td,s back on teams like Jasper, Silsbee, and Livingston. They would kick it to him and he made them pay.
That was in 1974, the one year that Green had talented players, despite his horrible coaching. Dummy was fast!

Damn WOS now I know I'm being a little unrealistic but it would be cool to shut out everybody left. Emphasis on a little unrealistic. Congrats on another win and y'all are some bad boys over there.
Not going to happen. It would be one for the record books, though.

Wade's first coaching job was at Stark.
Yeah, Adolph Hryhorchuk tried to get Wade Phillups hired as Head Football coach at West Orange, in 1972, but the less knowledgeable school board, listened to an even less knowledgeable Bob Franks, and hired Liar Glen Green, who was nothing more than an 8th grade football coach.

I hope WOS doesn't waste a game with BC in the future.

On that play, the ball was spotted by the ump, and the referee came in and move it forward 2 to3 feet and signaled 1st down. That, along with what appeared to be a challenge without the benefit of replay (which isn't reviewable at any level) which you referenced, were two things I don't ever recall seeing. I was shocked.
Yeah. I forgot that. I saw the 1st down on the pole, get moved to 2nd down. It was crazy. I told the man sitting by me, that I was seeing things happen down that that I had never seen before, and have no idea what was going on. Next time I go to a game, I am bringing my tablet and ear buds, so I can hear what Gary Stelly is saying. I think the game will be broadcast in the morning, on Time Warner Community Channel.

Never seen that before. Flag come out after a TD for holding when PAT is pending.
I heard it was a chop block, by the other receiver. Dubois raising cane. Never seen anything like that before. Later, in the game, BC lined up on 4th and 1. The chain crew flipped it to 1st down and was moving the chains before the ball was snapped! From where I was at, it did not look like the QB made the 1 yd needed, on the QB keeper. He was met by defense and knocked back behind the line of scrimmage, but it did not appear that forward progress ever made it across the line of scrimmage.

The outcome was decided when this game was scheduled. I will give you credit for starting the excuse-making before kickoff though.
LOL!

Whats underneath makes a difference. Many people do not know about how good the old Stark field on Green Avenue is. Stark paid a lot of money to have the best field possible. First the field area was built up high, then he had them dig down over 4 ft, and lay down sheet copper. On top of this, rock and sand was added. Then, there were drains added, high and low, that drained to the city sewer system. That field will stay dry in a deluge!

Just praying for a good clean hs football game & praying for the communities of Orange Co for a healing of minds/actions.We have a large task@ hand but we all must do a part to be united against evil doers.I would have prayer between these schools before kickoff this evening,it's just a game.A day may come when we stand shoulder to shoulder w/our neighbors to defend our nation
I am out of "likes", or I would like this!

We are in dire need of new facilities. We are getting a new gym and campus across our district but until things changes we will be at the old field. To be honest I would rather our baseball team get turf and new stuff they deserve it
They need to expand the stands on each side. The field is fine.

A friend of mine is suppose to be tailgating in the parking lot.

Id say when the kids start warming up lol. I'd Also like to see WOS keep the starters in for a total of 4 quarters
I would like to see the starters in the whole game, but common sense tells you there is no reason to chance getting a starter hurt, when there is no need.

Yep, that is what we said in 2000. Opps! Of course, our defense was great, but was hampered by the loss of Pinkins to the cheap shot by Lamarque. No one else could fill his spot at nose guard, anywhere near as well as he could.
