This should be a good game by all accounts. I'll never pick against my Cats but we lost a lot from last yr, and are going to be facing a VERY tough Eagle team picked by many to make another state run. So if we're gonna pull this out it'll be by pure grit, will and a heck of a want-it attitude. I say Kirbyville by 1, cause that's all that matters. Good luck to both teams. I'll see yall there.

I see it like most everyone is seeing it I believe...Kirbyville and Coldspring a toss-up for 1st...and Woodville/Buna/ Kountze looking for the other spots. In my humble opinion of course. But no matter what, I'm beyond ready for the season to start. I just love high school football.

Malakoff needs to learn how to not blow 31-7 leads, or is that too soon?

All the blowout wins and 60pt offensive showcases mean nothing now. From here on out, we just need to win....by 1 or by 70. Kirbyville has the offensive AND defensive weapons to compete with any team in 3a div. 1. We can beat West and I think we will, easily. I don't care if it's a blowout or not.

no technically you didn't win district last year, you was Co Champs and just had more points which just seated you higher in playoffs.  Didn't make you champs.  
Your correct the didnt take care of business in Buna and EC did.  If that helps you deal with the fact Kirbyville has owned you the past two years then preach it my friend, preach!

there's always going to be whining about rankings, case in point: have you checked out any of our rankings threads lately?  You had a fanbase who was already #1 complaining. 

to be honest that in bold IMO was the only call that may have affected the game as in momentum, the rest nope. Kville was just the better team tonight. Very impressed with their D tonight. They were aggressive, blitzed alot, had poor Sutherland back there looking average tonight, kudos to that defensive coordinator and his defensive players. 

Love those Wildcats! Only picked by a few people in the "pick em" to win. Love proving people wrong. 

K-Vile executed, EC didn't bottom line! K-Ville you're a very good team, make a deep run and make SETX proud!! BUCS need to keep their head up and move on to next week!! And get these players healthy!!

Newton could not beat both and I guarantee both could play with Jasper, Silsbee and Wos. Not saying they would win but would definitely compete. Rankings are just rankings they are opinions on what ones think

EC has a very good, solid football team. They are just as disciplined as everyone said...which is why they were only penalized once. But Kirbyvilles defense shut them down, and our offense was just too much to contain for 4 qtrs. I'm thinking a LOT of crows are about to be led to the slaughter for all those EC pickers. Come 'n get it!

Seriously? Penalties on both sides? You can't be serious. EC had one pass interference called on them and that was it. Kirbyville was non-stop penalised all night. I'm not saying they weren't real, but there's no way you can say with a straight face the penalties were pretty much equal. Kirbyville controlled this game from start to finish. I tried to tell y'all we were the better team. I guess you had to be shown.
