Being Orangefield alum I'm proud of the effort the 'Cats displayed last night. K-Ville had superior athletes and speed, but couldn't match the heart of the Bobcats. I played fort the '98 team that lost to Crockett in the second round. I know I'm biased, but we were easily the most athletic team to ever come thru OF. Where had all that athleticism gone?? Not knocking the the guys on this years team at all but they just don't seem to have the athletes coming thru the oil fields these days. But still love to see that Bobcat pride and grit. Keep your heads up boys, the playoffs are there fort the taking

I couldn't get the door open to this thread for all the trash, talking. rykerx144 I'll give you a true look from the Newton stands on the scrimmage. Ya'll overloaded our offensive line and blew through and did dominate. Good linebacker play. We weren't ready for that kind of aggression and it showed. If ya'll could have completed a few more of those short passes on offense it could have gotten ugly. I did notice the Kirbyville team was pretty fired up and Newton was flat, but I swear we thought it was a scrimmage. If we would have known any difference, it wouldn't have looked that bad. Ya'll's left handed QB looked good to me. Read well, quick release. If Kountze brings what they had last year, Kirbyville better not overlook them. Kountze has the team speed to challenge anything Kirbyville can throw at them. That district is going to be interesting. K or K will be on top. And it's funny how all fired up ya'll are now that you don't face Newton at all! lol Talking trash......... :)   And I will be in Tatum, long as the creek don't rise!

I remember when Kirbyville scrimmaged Ozen. They thought they was gonna beat the Wildcats because we small school.....wrong! Fred Ford ran circles around that Ozen defense... :D  :D  :D

I agree about Buna, but dont know much about EC. What I do know is Kirbyville will feature the fastest tailback in the district by the name Ty Dennis. Y'all can say what you want if u disagree. He should be back for the first district game due to a suspension from an incident last year.

I'm looking forward to the Kirbyville vs Orangefield. Should be a good game.

First of all it's impossible for you to "listen" to the comments on here. Second nobody said anything about winning state. Kirbyville always field a competitive squad and Kountze is on the rise trying make some noise in football. This is a football forum so you can expect a lil trash talking. If you can't handle that apparently u in the wrong forum.

You should probably try to freshen your view on the scene. This is 500+ comments and over a month and a half later. Things change all the time in football and very rarely are predictions 100% accurate.
