Should would be great for the Bronx to get this first district victory under their belt. Dylan is on a crazy pace for tds this year. I think he is responsible for 7 or 8 tds the first 2 games. Look for him to have another big game. Hope the oline plays well like they did last week and gives Styner Shaq and others the opportunity to run right at the CK defense. Kind of a good option to have on what could be a wet sloppy night. Defense should be fine and I'm feeling good about a Dayton win. Oh well game day and as usual safe travels for the kids coaches and fans for both teams. Hope to see a good injury free game for from both teams.

I thought Hancock has a nice tight spiral with a descent arm, and hope he gets healthy soon. And between Shaq and Steiner and Moore,  they are some horses son, Broncos are going to be alright.

I don't care who the QB is.. Shaq and Hunter are both good kids that will compete their tails off and they have different strengths... there have just been lots of thinly veiled (some not so thinly) shots taken because he was the coach's son and that's a fact. If the shoe doesn't fit, then don't wear it.

Shaq is the better weapon but having him play QB takes away a better passing game. Yes wildcat and slot receiver is the spot for him imo.

McQuarters maybe.... If hancock is back, i THINK that would also let shaq or styner play the slot. So, there's another threat.
 
Lots of Hunter haters around this thread. I hope they'll come back and eat some crow if he's successful upon returning. 

Man people sure are worried about poor ole dayton. No need to talk trash about Ned I respect their program. As for the game just have to see come Friday. 

I was actully going to let a Crosby poster start it since they know more about both of our teams than our fans.

It was actually 2009 and didn't have any of the players you listed above. As you noted though Dayton doesn't and hasn't scheduled teams to make their records look good predistrict. You say that you can't just plug in kids to replace the ones you named and I agree. Thing is last year Dylan who would have started in front of Chambers had a broke hand and didn't play offense until around week 10. He seemed to do fine last Friday. The kid you dubbed the next Cody Green hasn't even been brought up to varsity yet. Outcome of the game wouldn't have been different but Dayton had a lot of kids out this week and several others that played very limited snaps. Last year Channelview didn't play Hurts for most of the 4th quarter and this year when Dayton had basically conceded defeat and had a ton of subs Hurts was still out there racking up yards and numbers. What the stats won't tell you is Channelview was I believe 5 for 5 on 4th downs and no other kid but Hurts could of done that on Dayton's schedule. Dayton will be right where they should be come the end of the season which is the playoffs.

New leadership=no dist championship,last 2 yrs 4th & 3rd place{no playoffs in old system}no developed leadership at qb & none returning/experience.When you're making adjustments w/players in week 10 you're not evaluating the talent pool at hand.Your best talented/explosive player should be @qb w/#2 back-up qb your 2nd most dangerous/talented kid.Now to the big issue=defense{what made Dayt,back in those days few{only 3 or so kids ran for over 100 yds in a game/in a season}next=3 man front is not effective stopping/slowing down a power run game unless you have a beast @ nose guard{none since D Wright sr@SMU).Verses Angleton no halftime adjustments w/3 man front giving 5 yds head start & getting beat by 4 plays.Something must change the kids@varsity level are not giving 100%to the team,it shows in practice & in the game.Starts w/leadership,why does a team w/19 straight playoff appearances never have more than 21 srs @ 5a level,playing teams w/26 to 49 srs.Kids need coaching them up,not tearing them down w/threats.Stewart hangs it up 1 day soon the streak ends=end of story cause when he's involved the kiddos get after it w/intensity.Currentlywe hanging thanks to other teams helping us out by beating opponents.2015 dist 21-5a is loaded w/young talents & coaches,we need to go back to developing young talent,lately the kicking game has been the solid game Dayton has had,because we ain't scoring tds like we once did.You got to play your talents @ hand,playin favs will get ya trouble,seen enuff in the past before 1996 when Dayt program ran by politics in town

I've said this on several occasions Dayton's players aren't the problem it starts at the top with the leadership(AKA Coaching Staff)
Our program has constantly declined since Stewart stepped down and everyone whether they say it out loud or keep it to themselves know it.
 
This year we had the opportunity to  make it to week 3 with less than 2mins. left in game and the other team with no timeouts left to seal the deal but instead of running for the 1st down on 3rd and long on the wrong end of the field we throw a pic with a short field to score on. Should've run the ball instead and even if you don't get 1st down yardage you still get to punt ball down the field and give our defense good field position to stop Angleton and win ball game.
 
Last year same issue have opportunity to try a field goal to get ahead with not much time left in game but no we ran it instead, when your in the play-offs you go for the win and have faith in those young men playing their hearts out for you on the field.
 
Coaching a team means fixing the problems that are present and making the right adjustments when needed but blaming those players on the sidelines at the ball games which I have seen quite a bit of  the last several years is wrong those kids are just doing what their being coached to do on the field. Maybe if we correct the problems starting at the coaching level the kids that play key positions wouldn't quit and the players that stay would work harder if they are built up instead of constantly being put the blame upon.

Yep.. still sad for all these players who put everything they had into the games every single Friday night. My heart is broken for each and ever one of these Broncos. I so enjoy standing on the sidelines taking photos of them. And watch the determination on each one of their faces. I am as proud of them as if they were my own children. Seniors keep on keeping on. Make some noise in your future. Be great leaders. There are so so many young kids who look to you like celebrities. I love you all. To the Broncos coming back next season. It can't get here soon enough. :)

I did see the score from last nights Manvel game, and it's ashamed that you can't just be positive for manvel 's program without jumping in on threads you shouldn't even be on. But you haven't phased us at all nor will you ever. GO BRONCOS!!!!!

tribe7 I've read your crap for a couple of days now and resisted the urge to respond simply bcs I didn't want to stoop to your level of stupidity, but now you've taken disrespect (to the young men on Dayton's roster) to a level I can no longer ignore.  If you're not from Dayton or Angleton then why the hell are you even on here?  You're a real tough guy punching that keyboard but I would bet my bottom dollar you aren't nearly as tough in person.  You definitely get my vote for the "just shut up" award.  You should really consider getting a life, chump. 

Thanks for the love...there is definitely mutual respect within that rivalry and I hope Crosby goes deep this year.  We have great kids with a lot of heart that don't deserve to be disrespected on here by idiots like tribe7.  To lose by 1 point in second round two years straight is really tough for the Bronco faithful but especially the kids on those teams.  If anything stands out about this group, it's that they have a lot of heart.  They are almost always undersized and undermanned but are always going toe to toe with their opponents.  Again, thanks for the respect and good luck the rest of this post-season.

Then you say "not taking anything away from him"  :angry: Considering McBride had to step up for our starting QB. And Dayton still managed to put 56 on PNG.
