Now that its over, i guess im done here too. Thanks for the fun discussion and heated debates. Thanks for the love and the hate. Im happy i can finally get rid of this png purple, wearing it 3 years straight can stain your skin lol and im always P.A. at heart. The key to that game was on field adjustments by D Long and Mike Long. Lamarque had been to 4 in a row, not sure if they had won any, but they where the team you had to beat to get to the dance. D Long threw behind the zone all night and it worked. And defensively Gholke put the nastiest hit on a receiver I have ever seen in high school football. That was the 2 differences, great on field adjustments, and a defense that laid the wood... Will take a special game this go around as well. If we go in with the same ole, our only hope is a shootout. Fort Bend will get 50++.... We need timely turnovers, great special teams play, the ability to stay within 2 scores, and momentum late in the 4th in order to pull it off.

Same stuff was said in 1999 about La Marque. They had won numerous state championships. Y'all remember what happened?

Life is good along the banks of the Brazos here at GRHS.  Watched a new coach begin his career this Friday Night Lights. So cool watching a new head coach learn the ropes.
1st time in 15 years of Friday Night Lights that I won't be videoing a playoff game.
I gotta a hankering to hear some CHEROKEE!  Look for Mr. Toups to make the 2 hour trip through Houston on Friday to make it to the Reservation for this game.  I will get over my Cherokee fix after this game.  PN-G will get close to half a hundred in this game.

SMH     Still stings sitting home, I see.

Houston Northside is the old Jefferson Davis HS, which lost 80 games in a row during the eighties and nineties.  HISD renamed Jeff Davis to Northside in 2016 or 2017 and made it a magnet school for Hotel and Restaurant Management.  PN-G should win by a wide margin.  The Panthers will have a few athletes, but they will not have depth.  They have the same kids playing offense, defense, and special teams.  The Indians should have the advantage with size, depth, #2, and throwing the ball all over the yard.  PN-G should control the line of scrimmage and wear out Northside.  I would be surprised if the Indians did not jump out quick and have a mixture of reserves playing in the 3rd Q or 4th Q.  Northside is more competitive in World Cup futbol and baseball.  Fun fact:  Former alumni of Jeff Davis nka Northside: Kenny Rogers (country music singer), Slater Martin (NBA), and Carl Crawford (MLB).

I gave this kid the name Boy Wonder for a reason.  This kid had all the tools the whole time while being at Port Neches.  He just got better every year.  Although he picked my son's team apart the first game, I just admired him in silence.  I really hope he wins a ring with his brothers in purple.  And if PN-G is playing longer than Silsbee this year, I will be sure to check them out.
