Duncanville is the host school and better equipped as a team to play with Sierra Canyon, Yates Fans are just thrilled to be invited to play in this tournament with so many elite and highly ranked teams and having an opportunity to play in an NBA Arena. I expect Yates will get the brakes beat off them this weekend but I applause Coach Wise for playing knowing he doesn’t match up with either team this weekend. We probably won’t see Yates at full strength until district play.

Thank You, Yates will eat plenty of humble pie this weekend in Dallas, but this is nothing new to our program. Yates will continue to schedule or attempt to play those elite teams during the pre-season. Coach Wise rarely plays 4A schools during the pre-season because it doesn’t make the team better. Yates has to play those schools because the district play is so weak. Please remember these losses will prepare the team for the playoffs in 4A, region III

The neighborhood kids are going to other schools (Lamar High, Bellaire High). It’s unlikely we will move up to 5A. The Communication Program is doing well

Then you guys can dominate 6A with the merger

Yates can have the following lineup on the floor in a few weeks; Antwon, Jones, Doakes, Elliott & Brown And the 2 bigs coming in off the bench WOW

The home school kids that transferred to Yates family members (I believe there parents) are Yates Alunmi. Udemadu and Chuks are nursing minor injuries.
