I Agee with a lot of post on this subject. And through the yrs I have seen its true what ShlyKBMT said! Unfortunately nothing really matters until Varsity. Kinda don't make too much since because these guys will be the ones playing for Varsity soon. My son did play on both the soph & JV levels and those yrs they had great seasons. They had fun! They know the fundamentals of the game by now or they wouldn't be on the team. From what I understand the boys like the coaches on these teams. The parents are the ones scratching their heads. Good luck Soph & Jv teams, you are almost there!

There are some football boys talking about trying to get the girls a pep rally

There will be a send off for the girls on Friday at 1:15pm in front of the band hall.

BIggest holes to fill will be on both lines with Washington, Malveaux, and Beau graduating on the defensive side and Brown and Brinkley gone on the offensive side...I look for the Dogs to be more explosive on offense while they adjust to not having serious beef on defense for the first time in a while...The Nederland defensive lines the last several years have been about as good as they get.
 
I expect a diferent type of Nederand team, but still a really good one...let's go for the quad, Dogs!

Anyone have any news about the off season? We have alot of holes to fill, but this is a good group.
Looks like Sage will get a shot at QB, Peyton Devries has moved to LB along side Mayfield, and little Mayfield and Trevor Breaux are looking good in the secondary. I'm looking forward to seeing Austin Krautz carry a bigger offensive load this year, he has the instincts you can't teach, I think he will be a touchdown machine for the
Big Ned offense, and with Marcus Barton returning in the backfield they will be a 1-2 punch that will be hard to stop.

Bordelon threw well, some miscues extended this game. Livingston is one the best comeback teams of the year, they never quit.

I will be cutting a more complete highlight shortly... here is the bread and butter... unfortunately, we missed the first 4 innings tonight because we did not know the game time was moved to 6pm...

I just have to say how proud I am of our baseball boys! Startedout 4-3 and turned it around and got a huge win over PNG Friday night. Those boys play with heart and have each others backs on and off the field.

With 10 mins left Lumberton scored the first goal. With less then 2 mins left Vidor tied the game and while vidor fans were still cheering Lumberton started the game back and a Lumberton player kicked a goal from midfield and made it.

You know I read these threads and some of them are funny, some are serious, but most of them hold the dumbest ideas I have ever heard.... Alex Durley has a stadium named after him. Why would you ever move his memorial? Why does everything in Beaumont have to be so racist? Carol Thomas was not a football coach and should have never had a football field named after him... Name a Science building or library after the guy...Steve Shaver is the only coach in BISD to ever be recognized as a 5A State Champion and not have a memorial. Actually, he was the last coach from this area to do it... This guy was an Athletic Director, Coach and Mentor to as may high school kids, if not more, than Alex Durley or the Levias fellow.... Im not knocking anyones accomplishments, but why does Coach Shaver never get any recognition? This guy has coached some great football players, and got alot of them to the next level, no matter what their color was.... He was a great role model for young people to look up to. You want to change the name of the football stadium, Change it to Steve Shaver Memorial Football Stadium... A person who coached football in BISD for 20 plus years, was color blind just like his players, and Coached the last 5A State Championship Team from BISD..... Should have been named after him in the first place....

I don't care if you call it Tampax stadium, at least they are not a crooked company or crooked person. I am pissed that my tax dollars have been stolen by these men and women who claim they are BISD. Lets get rid of all of them and anything else that brings shame to our community. A stadium that is as nice as that should not be named after a crook.

Goldenlady, you are absolutely right about this--NO CLASS! I am surprised the coach allows it but I guess he needs any angle... Just don't disrespect the "game".
