Where not too shabby on the top of the district. Crosby thinking everyone is down makes the feel better, i guess.

I would say for the most part the #1 seed has a chance but 1-3 or 0-4 is a possibility.  That other district is pretty legit it seems. As far as this game, geez, every really big play was a run and you’re up 24-21, get a first down and then try to be greedy. Halftime you're down now.  Really don’t understand why you don’t run the ball and run time off the clock there.  Misdirection has been very effective for Crosby so you probably won’t see much of that in the 2nd half.

Going to wade back in as an outsider into this discussion. I will be shocked if LP makes BH punt the ball at all while the game is still in doubt. Lee had guys running wide open down field multiple times and just couldn't connect which is why Lee isn't as good as BH or LP. After seeing BH against Crosby(was watching both games at the same time) I don't think BH is going to be over throwing and under throwing those wide open balls down the field.  Unless they get stuck with a penalty and some mishandling of the ball, I don't see a scenario where BH gets stopped this game. I would expect 4 or more 50 plus yard touchdowns passes.

I don't think BH will have the same difficulty with this running game as they did with Crosby. This one is more about assignments whereas you could have all the guys in the right assignments and #2 and #14 for Crosby will just plow over a guy and juke quickly around another. LP has guys that are going to get the yards that are there but not a lot more.

They have to have it blocked up and executed properly to get their 5 yards each time. I don't see that as being sustainable against BH.

You’re pretty accurate with a lot of your assessments, BH was missing a lot on defense, if they can get a couple back, it probably won’t be close.

Wouldn’t be surprised to even see some true Wing T in selected spots. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them use it in a couple key instances. The RB situation is definitely stocked for the possibility.

What I’ve enjoyed so far (getting into the weeds I know) is watching LP’s NG & the OL (#74) has been fun. The Texans could learn some stuff from LP’s OL. Ha!

I know we always focus on the skill players. But, these guys (OL) are talented & have had a year plus in the new schemes now. They’re starting to put it together. As they go, so goes LP.

I think LP will score, but your defense will definitely need to play well.  It’s going to be a fun game to watch.  Good look to y’all and hopefully everyone is healthy afterwards.

True, but BH was starting to limit his production mid second quarter though. We wouldn’t have completely shut him down , but just by the fact that he was knocked out of the game twice shows we weren’t going to let him beat us. Coaches made some great adjustments with what they had.

I kept saying is there any playing in the playbook like a counter where 14 would get the ball away from where 2 was going, but then again they still can’t even line up lol.

I made a mistake and made my prediction of this being an easier game for BH than previous years. Some of it based on what I know about the BH team, the rest was how hard the Cougar faithful bad mouthed their coach and this team in this forum. Those boys came to play and I believe more than anything, depth hurt them and they got tired and some players hurt. I could definitely see Crosby in the playoffs. I was impressed.
Also impressed by the way a banged up BH defense played in 2nd half. Good adjustments to try and stop those big runs by Crosby. Good luck to both team the rest of the season. BH offense sputtered at times but showed lots of poise to carry the team to a win.

The momentum shifted for sure when #2 limped off after the first play in the second half.  Crosby still had a decent drive, but it ended with a turnover on downs around BH 25.  Lack of depth definitely hurt Crosby, but the first half they got the turnover deep, but Crosby probably led the Time of Possession, BH scored in like 3 plays a couple of times, I guess they got tired of chasing a big play.  One of the biggest issues I see is neither the offense nor the defense know where to line up or what routes to run on offense.  I also was looking for some kind of counter play on offense when #2 healthy and give it to #14 in some misdirection because BH was swarming to #2 late in the 2nd qtr.  They had already adjusted late in that qtr.  it was a good high school game to watch in my opinion, just a couple of suspect(borderline dirty) plays, one by each team. Hopefully the kids that got banged up on both sides get healthy quick, but I suspect #2 from Crosby has some issues with that foot.

For whatever reason everything I try and post is reply lol.  Crosby went away from what was working in the 1st half.  When #2 hurt his foot, I saw him on the sideline and he should’ve never went back in the game.  The defense is the worse tackling defense I’ve seen in a long time at Crosby(and there’s been some bad ones). Both sides of the ball, the kids don’t know the play call and don’t even know where to line up.  They played with a lot of heart and emotion in the first half, that didn’t help them in the 2nd half though.  I just know when you’re getting 4-5 yards a pop, maybe keep doing it and pick your spots better.  It was a fun game to watch though.
