HD could have scored on every play if they wanted to.  They are loaded.  Two or three players will start on varsity next year.

Evadale is going to win district unless they have injuries and someone upsets them. Hull second and third up for grabs. HD vs Colmesneil game this week should be close.  HD has lost five starters this year to injury and have never found a rhythm on offense but should have enough to pull it out on friday and then they should finish second. The game between High Island and Evadale will be close. High Island has a great offense.  The only team to slow them down has been (the weather) and West Hardin last week. High Island may surprise Evadale and outscore them.  Gonna be a good week.

The one thing which has been constant for the Bobcats this year is their defense.  They gave up two offensive touchdowns to High Island, one to Evadale and one to Chester.  They also only gave up one to Kountze.  Thats five offensive touchdowns over four games even though they are usually on the field 75-80% of the game.  Colmesneil will not score anywhere close to 30 points on the Bobcats.  If the Bulldogs are to win it will be a close game.  But i believe the Cats will pull this one out 14-6.

Hull-Daisetta will not move up.  Only have 168 students this year.

The Dawwgs wont score 28.  HD 14-6

HD defensive tackle had 14 tackles against Evadale.  They are by far the best team in the district but other players besides #6 had good games against them.  Of course people get alot of tackles againse the Rebels because they control the game.  They probably ran 80 plays to HD's 25.  They are very good.  Seen Chester play. They are a game team and believe they will win 20 - 13.

Better not wait till the end of the game. High Island is very well coached and they find a way to win close games in the end.

That wont happen.  Colmesneil may beat High Island when they play them but they wont run off and leave Mounkes,Lully or Roger Davis. Thats for sure.  But they gotta play HD before High Island and that wont be any fun.

Andrew Pursley DT/RB Hull-Daisetta is a good player. Played LB for High Island last year as Freshman and has grown and put on wt since last year. Should continue to mature and get even better as a Junior.

Andrew Pursley isn't going anywhere.  But what we need is more players who take the game serious in the off season and not just play on their ability.  Too many players dont get any better from year to year.  Thats a lack of discipline .  The boys played very hard and nobody is going to score many points on the HD defense.  We just have to score some ourselves.  The team is getting better and will be ready come playoff time.

Great game by the HD defense again.

I just have to say that sometimes the "lucky bounces" aren't luclky bounces.  If you come through the hole and someone lights you up and you fumble its a good play by the defense not a "lucky bounce".  It was a good game and HD won. Thats it.  Also #31 did play alot in the 4th quarter and made a bunch of yards.  But they did not score.  They were stopped multiple times by a game defense.

Gettin kinda tough out there.  I believe it will be a close game because HD has a very good defense.  They are fast and athletic.  The question will be rather or not they can score.  If HD scores 2 times it will be anybodys game.  If they score 3 times they will win.  Time to play the game.  On the High Island game it wasnt the skilled players that made the difference because High Island has plenty of skilled players and lully#2o was the best player on the field.  The Humphrey boys are very fast and if they get outside of Evadale its lights out but the key will be in the trenches thats where all games are won or lost so Bobcats strap it on tight and hit somebody in the mouth.  Thats how you will win.

I think it is a shame that some of you would make fun of an individual on here and im surprised that the moderators allow it.  I thought we were not allowed to speak negatively of 16-17 year old individuals by name.  But I know you guys want stop because you have no concern for these young men you just like to brag.  Believe it or not though there are some young 15-17 year olds who dont talk smack they just buckle it up and bring it.  You may meet one of them someday and wish you hadnt.  Its real easy to talk about HD when they are a little down but believe me it will change sooner or later and I wouldnt want to be around when it happens.  The running out of bounds and kicking field goals to not run up the score and the second teamers for the whold second half may not happen and it might get ugly.  Just saying you never know.  Lay off the individuals - bad mouth the team or the school if you must but not the kids.  Please Gentlemen.

Whoever made the comment about HJ Freshmen beating HD jv two weeks ago doesnt know what he is talking about.  First the HD jv hasnt lost a game. Second they have never played HJ Freshmen. Third we dont have 12 juniors in the entire football program.  Get your facts straight. Go Bobcats.

High Island 36-6

Much respect!!!!!  To coin a phrase from last year the Cardinals will be a force to be reckoned with.  It was a very hard game for my son.  He wanted to win but at the same time was very proud of his former teamates.  He doenst say much but he was  excited about the way they played and expected it and was glad to see them play so hard.  Good luck to the Cardinals and beat Burkeville two years in a row.  WE will take care of business in Evadale and see what happens next.

HD wins 7-6

If HD doesnt learn how to hold a block we will not beat Evadale.  High Island was very well coached and played their a$$%^&** off all night.  Hull Daisetta needs to practice game situations and find five young men who are willing to fight on the frontline no matter what grade they are in and play some smash mouth football.  High island controlled the clock, the tempo of the game and almost got the victory but in the end the HD defense which has been there all year rose up and made some big plays.  Its time to get serious and fight.  This team can still be a great team but they need to trust each other and play as a team.  These two close ball games should help them do that.  Im very proud of you guys and of the boys from High Island, you guys have a great team and I hope you finish 9-1.
