I think Fox is #1 guard in country now as well. I get the impression that a lot of coaches would prefer their pg's to be able to shoot the ball too. They back off pg's who can't shoot. But, exception to every rule.

DeAaron Fox is the best piont guard in the country right now was Dennis Smith Jr. til he got hurt.. Fox will be a one and done player.. He scores in a variety of ways layups,jumps shots, dunks, he has complete game. And if you could have watched him play against some of the best this summer and in every single stage he was a top 5 player.

JMO but cross country is for duration but honestly has nothing to with basketball...i think the things needed to be worked on have to be done within those 4 lines ..I DONT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH RUNNING THE TRACK but basketball is stop and go change of  many directions and i think kids need that work on a basketball court ..

As i have said a thousands times fans can say what they want about either team but the FACTS are noone ever has an edge between these two schools no matter who is playing ...For the past 4 yrs Central was suppose to be the power house and mop the floor with Ozen and it never happened ...The fact is the series isnt even close with it being 41-11guessing)in favor of Ozen.. It has been real competitve lately because the talent level is balancing out now....Central had its most success under its best coach in school history imo in these last couple of yrs... i think Coach Paul will do just as good or possibly better....so all the back forth about lineups whose isn it what such and such does will go out the window when they play.. Remember nobody expexcted much from the 2007 Ozen team and they made it to state ...its a long season let the kids decide they are the real experts not us ...

Have thought about it.  It wears your guards down.  Rebounding,  playing man to man defense,  running the court,  etc.. Whew!! 

Can't compare either duo because they play different positions. Ozen's duo are a 2 guard & PG, Central's has 2 versatile SF/big guards that cause mismatch problems. Ozen has the better guards, Central has the better versatile mismatch tandem. Neither of Central's tandem are great ball handlers, nor knockdown shooters, but they are so athletic & problematic for other teams;very capable of running the offense if asked to do so. Ozen lack's size at the guard position, rebounding will be a very big problem VS the Jags(can't teach size). It will be very interesting to see the cat & mouse game played between the Coaches. I know what I would do, but nobody wants to hear that.  Lol

I guess you didn't know that basketball was my 1st love and I was pretty good at it. So sticking to basketball,  football and baseball is what I'll do.  Do you even know who John Comeaux is? Boyd is one of the best in the state and skill set is higher than Central's top players. Tyler, Sneed and Jones can knock down the 3 and also handle the ball well. It will be interesting but I don't see either team winning all 3. Some schools have good teams and some schools have good programs. I'll take Ozens program compared to a good team here and there. Some how Ozen seems to find away to develop their ball players into solid contributors to there yearly success. The arrival of a few football players should add some savy and toughness to this group, besides they do have Boyd who will definitely be the difference maker of the group! JMO

Sometimes you have to see past rhe smoke and mirrors . so the so called talent level disparity goes out the window when those two schools only sent two players to D1(last yr) the same wil be said this year because Boyd will go to NorthWestern St and Comeaux will sign somewhere as well. with TJ to Lamar and Nigal to Tx St.
