Correct me if I am wrong, but based on what you have posted on this subject, it seems that Boyd's lack of scoring is the basis of your argument. Others are just trying to point out that scoring is not everything in being the best player.

he had 9pts 3 reb but cmon Soulja everyone will have an off game and expecting Boyd to go out & drop 20 plus game isnt a reality when you play with other talented players. Should we criticze #22 when he doesnt show up for Central & #12 does ,NO because we understand thats how the ball bounces sometimes. Lets not forget kids DO READ WHAT WE PUT ON HERE. We are entitled to our opinions but be understanding that some adults will say ridiculous things but no need to drag the kid in it. They are all wonderful players who all have deficiencies that will be worked out at the next level.  Boyd is the best & most skilled guard in the area period no debate. Anyone with basketball common sense knows that. That has nothing to do with whether he should drop alot of points a game. Lets enjoy the game and have our opinions without malice towards anyone especially the kids(and read closely im not saying its anything that anyone in particular has said so calm down before you react).

Im curious, every team has bad games but as soon as Ozen has one the keyboard haters come out and have 10 pages of why they arent deserving,its just puzzling... Last time i checked eveyone is a work in progress, its a longgggg season if your playing your best ball now your in trouble...

Dec.1 could be an epic game for the Tigers if they pull that off without the fb players then that would be huge for the program. Thats a good win today for Silsbee against a 6a team ....SETX has so much talent its crazy, college coaches are missing out if they dont start coming regularly. 

As i stated in an earlier post that SATCH would beat API but someone said it couldn't happen too much talent ...my take on some of these loaded D1 teams yea they are nice teams, good eye candy but when a team gets in your ishhhh youll find out where their heart is... One thing i know about Caldwell he is a TRUE COMPETITOR an outright dog, give me that over some grown men hyping up kids and selling them like livestock to make a name for themselves.. And no thats not saying the kids cant play but hey it is what it is right!!!!!!

I think EVERY district has its issues but thats not for this forum ..Anyways as Soulja said its an individual who does the YMBL tournament setup , i think someone has metioned the idea of pool play but it wasnt utilized . We have good middle school & high school gyms all over BISD that can be used instead of elementary school gyms. I also think they dont want to come out of pocket for  referee fees for those extra games. 

I've worn the Silsbee Maroon and White for the past 7 years...  I have Ozen gear now because Daughter that's  a Dazzling Doll, but I'm getting some basketball and football shirts made soon...

The reason Preston wasn't on the block is because in an interview this summer he said he was a SG. People giving these guys what they want to hear and not what they should here. 

Most of these programs like API struggle with well coached high school programs.. Because i can almost bet some of thee guys arent teaching the game they just keep working on stuff they are alrwdy good at... Have no good offensive sets or defensive schemes its reason why you do certain things offensively and defensively.  You just dont do it because it looks good.  They got these high school kids running pro style offenses smdh and they struggling with just the basics of lets say a motion offense.. Like i said be a student of the game not a fan of the student...

See thats the problem i have when teams who are obviously well coached and better talent wise have to scale back their high level of play for fear of some folks saying it was unnecessary for them to run the score up. So i take my starters out and play my bench and im sure those kids want to play and prove why they are there but because the other team is less talented i have to tell them hold back. Whether unintentional or intentional you can never win this argument because there are unrealistic people who feel everyone gets a trophy. Guess we should tell our kids in the classroom to hold back because they make higher grades than some of their classmates. If the classroom isnt competitive then why have class rankings,gpa's,salutatorians & valedictorians. Jmo and not asking anyone to agree...

What's worse is they will not even use Ozen for consolation games on the girls side. They play at the elementary school. There is no reason not to use the high schools especially since it is YMBL/BISD. Why should any of the 3 Beaumont schools be forced to play in it, when they are not playing challenging teams that they could play in Houston. If it does not go pool play or add at least 1 game next year, then Central and Ozen should just say no and play elsewhere. They have been in the finals the last two years, they will be in the finals this year plus they are in the same district. It waters down the district games and the rivalry when they are playing 3-4 times a year. There is no competition and 3 games is not enough anymore.
