It appears the rumors may be true. Based on the construction today at GCM, it looks like we are getting Turf baseball, softball, and football fields at each High School

Lee looked good.
I know it was Pasadena, but Lee and Pasadena have probably been equals the last five years.
Kiki Davis, the sophomore running back for Lee is going to be a handful this year. He had two long touchdown runs. The QB for Lee, Wooley, has improved the passing a bit. He wasn't able to run much due to being a scrimmage but that's still his best ability. Receiver, montrell Morton, had two long touchdowns 
All told, Lee had 6 tds to zero for Pasadena I believe it was.
The gander defense looked pretty good for the first little bit then they took out davis, who doubles as an inside linebacker. And it was more of a bend but don't break defense. This will turn into a bend and break quickly against better teams.
If they can get any blocking at all, Davis is going to be fun to watch this year and the next two.

Got to brag a little bit.

GCM Dalton Williams pitched a complete game allowing only 4 hits and 1 run striking out 12 with 5 walks.

Has anybody heard of that new flag football team called Texas toast? Apparently they are supposed to be something serious.

Hey atleast we arent the worst team in Baytown lol..  We will compete and look alot better these next two season i have no doubt.

It appears that none of the Baytown schools will play each other. Kind of disappointed.

Interesting that Goose Creek Memorial has beaten North Shore and Crosby the last 2 weeks but doesn’t make an appearance in your top 15.

Patriot Nation!!  Dropped both mine off at 630 am sharp. Soph and freshman. Cant wait for the 1st scrimmage.

There have been rumors about rezoning the Baytown schools. If they do I'm not sure how it will pan out, but I believe they are aiming to move more kids into Lee's zone. As a GCM parent I would hope any rezoning would move us back down to the 5A level where we wouldn't have to play Northshore and Atascocita.

You're right, BH does have a lot of appeal for their athletic programs now. But that hasn't always been the case. What happens if the new football coach isn't  as successful as expected?  Things can change quickly. You also have to consider that Baytown is still growing alot in the Goose Creek Memorial zone, ExxonMobil and Chevron are expanding and hiring, and the cost of housing in Baytown is cheaper than Mont Belvieu. I think the Baytown schools can be competitive again. But until then I think they need to rezone so that GCM drops back to 5A and Lee sees some growth. But only if we can play in a local district and not have to drive to the Golden Triangle every week.

Districts don't make it a habit to give away students...students equal money!!

They just have to put egos aside and come TOGETHER as a TEAM and the upside is tremendous.
