What other Top 5 team in 4A has a tough District schedule in January? HJ is doing what they are suppose to do to lesser opponents. They don’t play down to their opponents is the main thing.

Horrible advice, kids don’t get recruited from HS, they get recruited from select basketball. Not that HJ wouldn’t be dang good place to land. 🤣

I would seriously tell them to talk to Trinity and take a visit. He will not be disappointed at all.

My daughter plays basketball at D3 level and absolutely loves it, she is so glad she went that route. Trinity University has an up and coming program, they played UMHB the closest in the playoffs in the first round 13-3. San Antonio has so much to offer.

I would have thought that about the WOS job, given the history of success there. Yet, only 13 candidates applied, with only one of them having a winning record as a HC at the 2A level and only two of them having WOS ties. Really surprising to see the dismal list of candidates.

Congrats to Faircloth, but man this is exactly what the school board and Dr Gonzales wanted to happen. They can wipe their hands clean of anything. The answer will be “He found another job, we had nothing to do with him leaving, he has been looking for years!” if you ask them directly what happened or ask them why they wanted him out. We keep hearing that the truth will come out if he leaves, well he is gone, so talking heads and the people in the know, let’s hear it, spill the beans. We are all waiting anxiously to find out what happened behind closed doors, or are those doors going to remain closed?

No, that is not correct. Faircloth was the AD and Comeaux has the title of Girls Athletic Coordinator, she still ultimately answered to Faircloth (On paper). Comeaux is still the girls coordinator, but retired from coaching volleyball.

Coach looks like Jasper is up and rolling again.

What’s going on with D Carter and Lutheran North? Last year they went 23-3, and D Carter was Avg over 35 points a game, this year they are 11-8 and D Carter’s average per game is down around 24, while nothing to be ashamed of, just seems like a huge drop off. Credit MaxPreps for stats (so could be wrong) I also noticed it said two games were lost 2-0 by forfeit, but looked like the games were played and Lutheran North had won the games, one of these being against Legacy Beaumont.

Might want to rethink this comment. I have a lot of respect for Coach Harris and Coach Brown, both are dang good coaches!

D3 level is the way to go!

Having never attended a Texas AM game until after my daughter started going to school there 4 years ago, how could you not want to go play there? That places is electric from kick off, all the way through halftime and til the game is over. There is absolutely no other place that has such unique traditions and pageantry like the Aggies do. What Jimbo is doing on the recruiting trail is just awesome, looks like they could end up with possible 8 different 5-star recruits would be huge! Excited to see Bost get an opportunity in the Bowl game.

My dad graduated from PNG, I graduated from PNG and played for Malone and Owen, my wife graduated from PNG and played for Comeaux and was All State, my oldest graduated 4 years ago and played for Comeaux, my middle child graduated in 2020 and was a key part in the girls basketball team making the playoffs (x2) for the first time in school history and youngest is a Senior this year, plays tennis. Me and my wife have been members of the booster club for multiple years, parents have had season tickets since early 70’s. I am PNG, through and through, I bleed purple, I know several of these board members personally, if this is true, I will be extremely disappointed in this decision. Coach BF is what PNG is all about. I hear the rumors out there and the only negative thing I have heard that was somewhat hush hush was about some adult issues between a male coach and a female coach last year that from what I witnessed was taken care of swiftly as neither one of them are no longer educators at PNG. It unfortunately has happened before at PNG, when Malone was let go when I was there it was very disappointing and the grass was definitely not greener on the other side when they hired Owen (worst hire at PNG ever). I have a hard hard time believing that JDC would take the job if BF is let go, they are really good friends and normally hang out with each other during the holidays.
