  1. Here is a good question, were you born (insert your religion) ? Or were you taught to be (insert you religion)? Or did you choose to be (insert your religion)?
  2. So we are told not to make hypocritical judgements, but yet most people that I know closely are hypocrites when it comes to religion. I see people in the church that are on their 2nd and 3rd marriages due to their said temptations (adultery). When I was 18 I approached the Catholic Church to marry me and my wife of almost 22 years now and they told me and her no by two different priest both stating that we were too young and not ready to be married. They tried judging us! What makes it THE TRUTH? Because as a young child your parents and priest told you it was the truth? Because as an adult you decided to read the bible and interpret it how it fit your needs? Trust me I am not basing my understanding off of a bunch of posters on a message board! That would be what religious people do! They base there understanding off of what different people interpret the bible to say and then convince people in need of something that this is the TRUTH! Let's go back to the original post question. Does God love homosexuals? Well they haven't all burst into a ball of flames bcause of their supposed sins so I guess they are good! Everybody wants to answer the question on weather or not a gay was born that way or if it is a learned behavior? Well until you have walked in an individual's shoes and been through what they have been through you can't honestly answer that question. Who really and truly cares if they were born that way or if it was a learned behavior (choice), just now that at this point in their lives they are in love with somebody of the same sex. They are humans and should be treated like a human just like other human would want to be treated. I think the bible is one of the best books ever written (without ever reading it) because of the amount of interpretations that people have made about it. Most of the things that I hear about the bible tend to sound like tall tales being told around a campfire. I am with Messiah on the fact that if you are going to go the route of the bible then you should not pick and choose the parts that are convenient to fit your life. Have at it and judge me all you want! I will sit back with my popcorn and enjoy the comments!
  3. So is the bible based off of opinions or facts?
  4. I'm not religious and I'm not political. I have never read the bible and as of right now I don't plan on it. I don't plan on running for office either. I don't even know what a liberal or conservative person believes in and don't really care. I am married and have three children. I was brought up in the Methodist church, my wife the Catholic Church. My three children attend the Catholic Church and attend all of the religious education programs provided. Again I have never read the bible and don't plan on it either, so I would like somebody to answer the following question for me. From what I hear people say doesn't God say something to the effect of not judging people? Yes or No is all I need to know.
  5. Do you have a daughter interested in playing AAU basketball this season? If so Golden Triangle Elite (GTE) middle school AAU team will be having its first meeting/tryout on Monday March 9, 2015 @ 6:00 pm at the Central HS girls gym. This will be a practice/tryout. The team will be practicing every Monday night same place and time for now until after track season at which time we will go to two practices a week. We will be participating in 8 tournaments (subject to change) this season which will run from now thru July, no tournament dates have been set as of right now. We are looking at $100 - $125 a month for dues for 5 months or $500 - $625 total (subject to change). The coach is confirmed to be Coach Ro Fontenot who is the varsity coach for the Beaumont Central Lady Jaguars. She will be dedicated to coaching our team only so we do not have to worry about the High School teams scheduling conflicts. If interested please text or call me at 409-363-9868. I prefer text since this is my business phone as well. If you do call I will answer the phone under my business name so don't think you dialed the wrong number. Thanks!

  9. This is why I am surprise Colorado Buffalo, Colorado State Rams, Washington Huskies and Washington State Cougars did not have some of the top recruiting classes this past year. They should have one heck of a recruiting benefit that other colleges cant offer.

  11. Thanks bdub. I only have two more major slots and two more junior slots left. I currently have 16 teams signed up from all over SETX. Should be a fun enjoyable environment. This will be setup in the juniors and majors with two pools of four teams each. The first place and second place teams in each pool will play each other. Guaranteed 3 games, but if you finish 1st or 2nd in your pool you will get a 4th game.
  12. Just heard on 97.5 that Pat Knight has been fired.
  13. Lumberton Little Dribblers will be hosting its annual Girls All Star Basketball Tournament March 27-29. This tournament fills up fast so please send me a PM to save your spot. This is a great warm up tournament two weeks before regionals. Entry fee will be $150 with a 3 game guarantee. We would like to set this up to allow for four pools and the winners of each pool play in a 4 team single elimination bracket. This will be a Junior, Major Girls All Star event (Do not have to be sanctioned by Little Dribblers i.e Nederland/Mid County and Vidor). If space is available we will have a Sr/Select Division as well. We will have two CERTIFIED refs per game. Plenty of concessions. Please PM with any questions.
